Lapped Core 2 Duo E6300 £42.00

This is a lapped E6300. I have lapped it so that it runs cooler on lower fan speeds. It meant that my system was quieter. As you can see from the photo, the surface is shiny copper. This means that there is very good contact between the heatsink and the CPU so that it dissipates heat quicker.

Price is £44 delivered.

Price dropped to £42 delivered

The reason I am selling is because I now have one of the new wolfdale processors.

Well if I go on ebay prices, ~£50 delivered. I then minus any fees I think £44 is the best I can sell for.

I am open to trades though, specifically a zalman vf900-cu, or other certain vga coolers.

Okay, since i dont particularly like ebay. I'll drop the price to £42 delivered.

Wet-dry sand paper. So you start off at 400 grit and gradually move your way through to 2000 grit.

Heres a guide by someone I know. He hasnt used a CPU in this example, but the same rules apply. Hes gone a bit over the top at the end, so the cpu i have isnt as shiny as the last photo he's put up.

so you're obviously an insane overclocker to go to the trouble of lapping your little baby cpu.

What is the highest you have had out of it? please list what board memory and temperatures too.

Oh I AM interested BTW.

Also, which wolf did you get and what are you currently running that at?

Thx

The CPU has been run normally at 3.08ghz using 1.28v completely stable. It is also completely stable at 3.57ghz using 1.48v which I use for benchmarks. You can be assured that I have never run the processor at dangerous temperatures.

The chip was manufactured on week 27A (L627A) and is an earlier B2 stepping chip which overclock better.

I havent got around to installing the wolfdale (e8400). When I do i'll probably just run it at 4.05ghz which seems to be a fairly common overclock using 1.3v.

edit: this is all on air cooling, water cooling may get higher speeds.
