I have 108 positive feedback on ebay as "ecowarm" and 38 positive feedback on AVforums as "sibeer". New to hotukdeals so thought I would try listing here for a change.

All items can be packaged for postage and sent at royal mail rates. Buyer can choose preffered postage as they are paying for what they want. Preffered payment method for delivery items is Bank Transfer. Will do Paypal to registered address only and buyer must pay all fees.

£42 for a Maxtor 320GB Hard Disk. Could maybe let one go for £30.

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=752288

£131 for the graphics card new. Think you may be confusing it with the GS model. Feel free to come back with a more reasonable offer though. Card is fully boxed, has all parts and is barely used.

your prices do seem, like the prices the items would be new.

Every price was less than the price at Scan for the items excluding VAT hence a minimum 17.5% discount. I also searched completed listings on ebay to confirm these prices were about right. Please do not thread spoil with no info to back up your claim.

As someone with 7 computers in my 2 bed flat I can assure you that the items are all in excellent condition and not particularly used.

If you bothered to read reviews you would find that it makes little difference in gaming up to a 720P resolution or 1280x1024. As such for most gamers this will do the job very well.

Up to you but I would actually base my decision on what resolution you are running your games at. This card does not have the memory to fill the textures of a 1080P image, but it will happily fuel a standard 17"-19" LCD or a 720P HD TV. If that is your resolution the performance will be near identical.

£35.59 and i can get free postage. Only difference to that one that you posted is it is 9ms where as this one is 11ms which doesn't mean alot to me. Would still go with this one between the 2. So my offer of £20 is still there.

this goes for same price brand new on ebay! will offer £60
Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz Quad Core Processor With Intel Heatsink & Fan -
couple of these AMD 3800 X2 Skt 939 Processor - £45 went on ebay second hand for around the £35 mark!

but i am going to leave it at that as i have wook to go to! i would advise anyone buying from this list to check prices new first and also check ebay prices!

Well go to ebay then as you have such mastery of it

Your BS has pretty much ruined my thread, someone a little bitter after last night :whistling:

We can all choose the auctions that finish at the rates we prefer for a comparison, that does not paint a very true picture though. I also checked all my prices prior to listing. X2 3800's go for £35-£55 so priced at £45 expecting to sell for around £40. Same with Q6600 the odd OEM with no fan goes for £85 minimum. Those with fans go for between £100 and £145 (don't ask me why someone is paying £145 for one though). I have put on at £105 thinking I will get close to £100. The graphics card I have priced based on the new price and the only completed auction I found for the item which went at £95. Again I expected reasonable offers, but to be barraged by people who clearly want the item but are trying to push me to significantly beat the lowest auction they can find is ridiculous.

Well done on rating each other chaps, wish there was a way to rate people who waste your time and effort. Good luck on ebay cos that is where I will clearly have to list my items to get a fair price and less abuse.

All threadspoilers who are comparing these prices to Ebay please note this rule from the FS guidelines

(15) The only exception to this is if you see the EXACT item priced higher than available new elsewhere. In this case a third-party can make a post but ONLY in the following format: LINK TO MERCHANT - PRICE. No comments, just the facts. This must be the final price (after VAT/shipping) for a new product and from a reputable merchant. Price comparison to auction sites, classifieds or other personal sales are not allowed. Members who do not follow these posting rules face a ban from the FS/FT forum.

Any further similar comments will be deleted and those posting will receive an infraction...

Sibeer would you like your thread closing still?

sibeer what's the very least you will accpet for one of the 320gb. And i do mean the very least.

Looks like alot of bans coming
#16
Oh and sorry to anyone with a genuine interest. My first attempt at trading here has put me right off. Why anyone thinks I should be looking to beat the lowest price an item goes for on ebay is beyond me, get realistic.
#17
can you answer my Q on whats the VID?
#18
i wonder why this does not happen on avforums (thread spoiling) lol

Well a PM now as well to say I am trying to rip people off because I didn't know that Tekheads (who I have never heard off) have a couple of 8800GTs on special offer cheaper than mine. Sorry for only checking the price at the place I bought it from and the only ebay listing I could find, but I think classing that as trying to rip people off is just rude. Especially as this is after I have removed my item from sale due to the abusive nature of previous posters.

Yes Mr Moderator I am certain I want to close my thread. My second post here was a 496 degree bargain, yet when I first posted it came below -50 due to idiots who didn't know there backside from there elbow rating it cold. This place has far too many muppets expecting stuff for nothing because it is a bargain forum.

Don't worry I will not try to "rip off" the poor users of these F/S forums again, will stick to ebay and avforums where you don't have to deal with this kind of trouble.

Thanks to anyone who was genuinely interested, sorry that a few goons have put me off trading here. Please feel free to look at ebay or avforums over the weekend as that is where all this will now be heading. Hope the mods don't mind me mentioning that, don't worry I won't provide any links.

Whats The Vid On The Q6600??

Your getting quite personal now.
Calling people goons.
All we have said is that your prices were high.
You say "Why anyone thinks I should be looking to beat the lowest price an item goes for on ebay is beyond me, get realistic."
Hardly to be honest, i hardly looked into finding the proper prices.
If i had spent time, researching it would have been much lower.
#26
mate how much u want for a 8800GT? im also at avforums so u could pm your link when u list on there if u like
#27
why do people have to ruin these threads

If you see lower elsewhere then say that and then move on. Dont argue and complain that somebody wont sell it for less.

To the OP, let me know where and when you sell the HDDs please :)

I've been repeatedly accused of purposely trying to rip people off. This has mainly been done by people offering comparisons with low sells on ebay that are rightly not allowed for comparison by the rules here. To my eyes I have received enough personal abuse to have every right to think that such people are goons. Please let me know if you have a more fitting terminology to suit people who clearly cannot be bothered to read or abide by the rules and make unfounded acusations about someone they don't know being a rip off merchant.

All I have done when pricing is checked the retail price at Scan (where most of these items where bought) and then taken around 20% off. I have backed this up with a search for completed listing on ebay and made sure my listings are somewhere in the middle of the ones I have found. As this is clearly no where near cheap enough for most people here I may as well take my chances on ebay. To those who have been comparing with ebay good luck in your hunt for middle of the night listings that no one else notices. After a month of sitting up till 3AM and countless hours wasted searching you will eventually get the price you want, well done you for having that dedication.

AGAIN APOLOGIES TO ANYONE WHO WAS ACTUALLY INTERESTED, NONE OF THESE ITEMS ARE FOR SALE HERE ANYMORE.
