Love birds are the smallest species of parrot and make adorable pets, who thrive on attention, unfortunately this is the reason that has lead to the sale them.

Both my partner and I work full time and due to a change in circumstance we just don't have the time to offer them.

Included in this sale is:

Pair of Peach Faced Love Birds (more details on these below)
Pale Blue & White Parrot Cage, roughly 30" by 30", inlcuding a stand on wheels, the cage and stand were bought from Pets at Home for £90
All the usual cage accesories, bath, food containers, toys etc
Hard Back Love Birds book
Food and parrot treats etc
You won't need to buy anything more.

The love birds were taken to an Avian Vets last month as one of them had plucked some of the head feathers from the other, the vet advised us that this behavior was due to boredom, the birds were given a clean bill of health and we were advised to try and let them out more and spend more time stmulating them.

Collection from Stockport, could be delivered subject to a charge of 40p per mile, maximum of 50 miles.

Hi, what's your post code? I will check the distance and let you know. If you want pictures of birds & cage etc I can send this evening.
Lovebirds are misnamed. They are spiteful birds which cannot be kept in a cage or aviary with any other species as they will bite off toes, or kill them. The vet who saw them was a nitwit. If one bird is getting a bald head it is normal mating damage. It happens with all birds, including chickens. It happens when they mate and the male steadies himself by holding onto the head feathers by his beak. Get them a bigger cage or small indoor aviary, give them twigs to chew up and fresh fruit and veg and they'll be perfectly happy without coming out of the cage. Unless they are hand reared and both fully tame, I can't see how you could possibly let them out into the room to fly in any case as you wouldn't be able to get them back in. I run a small rescue centre and know a bit about birds BTW
