is there an age limit to the car that the plates can be put on?

I know that when I purchased my current private plate I had to choose wisely as the plate couldnt go on a car newer than a certain year (if it makes the car look newer than it is it isnt allowed as such)

All confusing stuff!

ok dont get me wrong ... is there something special with this number plate ?

as theres loads avalaliable and a lot cheaper on the DVLA

for e.g. AH51 UKE for £799 ???

might need 2 revise ur price a bit as i cant imagine is selling for that price

Number plate valuations are all about demand. If this plate is in high demand, the price will reflect this. I'm not sure the price here reflects the demand.

The registration UK51 UKE can be assigned to a roadworthy car, van, heavy goods vehicle, moped or motorcycle first manufactured on or after 01/09/2001.

Hope this helps

Nice, How long ago did you buy it?

I have 2 number plates thinking of selling, but each number plate is limited to people with the right names

I Have MR POT = M17 POT
and TRINA J = T121 NAJ
#10
Wouldn't it just be cheaper to change your name by deed poll to Mr N40 AAD?

I hate it when they say that..
its not PERSONALISED.

Its a standard registration, in a standard format. And it doesnt even say LUKE..it says 1 UKE
People who stick them together illegally to try and look rich seem a bit strange to me, but each to their own. As you say, supply and demand.
And those who deliberately change the placings of the black screws etc to make a 3 look like a B etc should really be fined.

I would rather spend the money elsewhere

Out of interest, why three sets of plates too?

1 Legal BSAU
2 Semi Legal
3 Completely illegal with totally ****ed up spacing;-)

Ah! Then it seems like a lot of a hassle for something that a great number of the general public thinks is a bit prattish...

Well you've got to love the way first time posters are treated on here!
I have been searching around for quotes, have had them in the region of that amount (INCLUDING the commission that the company will receive for selling it), I put it on here as I wasn't sure how reputable these companies were and I was wanting a quicker sale. If there is anyone interested please message, if not please don't waste both our times writing pointless posts!
If anyone has any other suggestions of selling this plate I would be very greatful.

At no point did I write 'Private Message', when I referred to said 'message' I meant post, sorry for not knowing the technical terms and having a life!

Why do people feel the need to rip a post apart?

Rude? At which point was I rude? If by admitting that I have a life this makes me rude then god help the rest of us!

I will not enter into anymore of these petty arguments. I am fed up of people using their computer screens as a medium to argue. I have placed an advert to sell a plate, this is not an invitation for an internet style jeremy kyle show bitch-off! Grow up and get a life!

aw cmon, I was trying to make you laugh! We are a funny bunch here and if you decide to stick around you'll see that taking the P out of each other and our deals is par for the course, and pretty much enjoyed by all with a sense of humour. As far as i've seen, a bit of baiting has never stopped someone selling anything that's fairly priced.

There's no real prob with your post- but if you check through, most stuff sold is a few quid to perhaps a few hundred at most- so this is probably not the best place to sell unless you want a ribbing  If youve got a few dvds, cds, computer stuff etc to sell you'll have a better laugh here and make some cash without all the ebay fees.

yours,
Luke Skywalker.
