This is a mint condition(mint means not a single scratch, bump, dent, or any poosible mark at all). I purchased it with 3 years additional warranty which includes the battery so you dont have to worry about that. You can take the serial number of the notebook and confirm the warranty status at the apple website.

Config:
Intel 2.53 Ghz with L2 cache 6MB
320 gigs HDD
4 gigs ram @ 1067 Ghz
Duo video cards nvidia 9400m and 9600m gt w/ 512 MB ram(this is a very good card)

All others are apple standards(backlit keyboard, n class wifi, 5 hour battery, etc)

Bought it for over 1900, willing to sell at 1150.

Can even upgrade to 500 gigs hdd for 25 pounds. Ask me about this, i have a spare 500 gigs HDD lying around.

Well this is a 15" lappy.

hi are you interested in selling the hard drive separately?

also, as far as i can tell, you haven't indicated the size of this macbook (looks like a 15"??)
#6
Why are you selling it?
#7
adharis - Sorry to ruin your thread...

If this is a 15" laptop then You can easily get it for £1116.65 as a student and with the optional 320gb drive and the warrantly its around £1200. Also you can get a cheap ipod touch with the deal.

So I dont think your price is justified unless you are providing a receipt with the amount of £1900!
Even on the normal apple site the 15" pro is £1299... SO not sure where the £1900 came from.

You are not allowed to make profit on this site.

zish_uk,

Well here's how it is for that much.

First i purchased it around mid jan, that time the laptop i am selling was teh highest 15" macbook pro available which was for 1799, followed by another 250 pound warranty extension, Well i also got around 300 or so pound VAT refund but, none-the-less, the reciept was for 1799. Which i submitted for VAT. Please check on all these details and look for Jan price.

Also, i am selling it cause i want to buy the newer macbook pro, and now based on your advice, i'll try to get it w/ the student discount(probably through a friend). Thanx!

Fair enough... I am thinking about it but still a bit overpriced for my liking...

Best of luck.

£1020 or trade for my dell studio xps 16(new which costs £1370)+ £70?
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/453030/wanted-macbook-pro-15
and i can come to collect from warwick as it isnt far.

As said before i can get the new macbook pro 15" with 2.66ghz and other stuff better then yours for £1270 with a 3yr warranty , ipod touch and a free printer. And that macbook pro has a 7-8 hour battery life plus its new.

if you look at ebay you wont get your £1140 asking price anymore for the late 08 model

Why are you selling it?

Well i'll be buying the new 2.8 GHz macbook pro unibody
#14
why are you just picking and choosing who you reply to? your not going to get a sale like this.
#15
buying it for £1800 last year makes no difference to what people will pay for it now.
Its simply not worth £1140, as iv seen a lot of 17" versions go for that.

the late 08 base model mbp with 2.4ghz goes around 900ish and this around £970+ so i cant see where you got £1140 from.
banned#16
then fees to take into consideration from ebay and paypal.
Youd be left nearer £800.

I had no idea about the running price at ebay or the what i should consider while selling. Whatever i have said in the description is true. And i dont want to sell for less. C'mon now, i m not forcing anyone to buy. If i am lucky and some1 is interested then good for us. But please don blame me for the price. Its what i think is right...

Now i m convinced it wont! looking at the reactions around my advert.
#22
i did offer you s price but i guess u ignored me....
#23
OP,everyone on here knows how much this is worth, which is less than your asking price.

You need to be realistic if you want to sell

What you paid for it is irrelevant.

Look at the latest prices for Apple then adjust your price accordingly

Good Luck

I have £1020 to spend on a macbook pro and i can come to collect it. Is that ok?

If you know a student/are a student you can get a new macbook pro 15" for £1116, plus a free printer and a £145 rebate on an ipod touch (which would be easy to sell on), making the brand new macbook less than this one in the first place, just an idea if you want a new one instead.

i am a student and that = no money
I have £1k from selling my old laptop which a person will buy on thursday and i would go for the new deal on apple and sell the ipod touch for like £120 at least but i dont have the money to begin with and so cant afford it :/.

i did manage to find a 2.8ghz refurb with 500gb hdd and 4gb ram which is 6 weeks used on ebay for £1040 which seems anice price i guess.

Its quite funny how you priced your laptop at 1140 and i got one newer, quicker and cheaper then that...
#27
Well, I got lucky again and managed to sell my machine for £1230. So, there's no point of selling anything on this site as everyone is too smart

PS : Please dont ask me for a receipt on this sale as well to prove the price! But if u insist i can give u my account statement.

Cheers n best of luck
