You won't get many games on a 512mb or 1gb card.
I can sell you some, but it wouldn't be worth it.

Spend £15.49 and get a 4gb one:

how much mate after 3 or 4

got a 8gb one on the way but want some smaller ones aswell
#3
I have Sandisk 512mb ones for £5, or Sony 1gb ones for £9

All genuine. :)
#4
buy 2 of the 4gig ones thats what I did,one for movies and the other for games. The bigger the memory the more problems with slow loading like the 8 gig ones may have a slight bother. You can get non magic gate cards off ebay and they are just as good as the real deal.
#5
they work the same ?
#6
yeah dont know why people insist on the genuine ones, the non magic gates work great and are cheaper.
#7
so what shousl i search for on ebay ?

DO NOT BUY THEM!

They are not "Just as good as the real deal". I have a 2gb "Sony" from Ebay sat here that is worthless, they can corrupt the data on them, and break up into little pieces.

Ask people on HUKD how many genuine cards this has happened to.
#9
Mine never had this problem so I dont see nothing wrong, but its your personal choice. Just do a pro duo search on ebay and the cheaper ones are prob not magic gate supported.
#10
I have a fake one and I have no problems with it.
#11
think it depends on who you buy from, there is probably really bad fake ones out there but the one i have is great
#12
'Sheesh' try to advocate someone buy a decent genuine memory card and get inundated with people championing fake Ebay knock-offs.

Good Luck welshd1k.

i bought mine off ebay thinking i was buying a genuine one and until last week thot nothing of it,so not knowing and being impressed by it i say that's pretty good going.

You paid your money for what you believed to be a genuine card, but turned out to be counterfeit, and that's "Pretty good going"?

It must be late. Night all.
#15
no i meant and i think you know what i meant,i bought it thinking that it was genuine and only recently noticed it was fake as sorts.so for it being a fake and working fine i think i was lucky and paid a fraction of the price.
#16
its up to you i have had lots of fake memory cards most of them have stopped working after a few weeks some after a few months one 4 gb fake has lasted me 1 1/2 years and is still working but its about in two halves and isnt magicgate supported, (thank god for cellotape:w00t:)

so what i will say is all but one of the fakes have stopped working :x

and every genuine one i own is still going strong:-D

And i also belive that the transfer rate on the originals is alot faster

i own
1 x 1GB original (working)
1 x fake (not working)

6 x 2 GB all genuine (working)
2 x 2 GB fake (not working)

3 x 4 GB original (working)
2 x 4 GB fake(1 not working 1 on its very last legs (RIP))

512mb original(working magic memory stick now sold)
512mb original (working)
#17
yeah i had a fake 2gb sony pro duo it use to work doesnt work anymore any data i transfer to it is not there on the card, tried everything pc formating psp formating, useless now
#18
Yep I had a fake 2gb 'Sony' card and it literally fell to pieces!
#19
I also got mine from ebay thinking it was real. I paid a low price and it is still working ok after a year.

I would always recomend buying an original sony but it all depends on your budget and needs.

To check if it is genuine in my opinion the PSP method is the best. Insert the memory card into the PSP and going to the memory stick section on the PSP, pressing triangle on it and going to information. If it says Magicgate supported then it is genuine.

You can only tell it is genuine once you have it in your hand. My advice is DO NOT BUY IT FROM EBAY IF YOU WANT A GENUINE CARD.

Have a look at this thread for the size you want: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169419
