Ahh fair enough - theres a couple of stores like that, then a bigger one near me which has 4 rows full of them.

I'm not gonna reveal it yet though - as the 5 for £10 is coming soon!

They're very unlikely to have any of the titles I need anyway, as I only need a couple of the rarer German/Spanish/Polish/Japanese titles to complete my collection.

And Nottinghamshire is a bit far to go for a few HD DVDs anyway.

Yeah, all HD DVDs are region free
Most HD DVDs were the same in all regions but some had slight differences, usually different audio tracks. For example, the US version of Planet Earth has Sigourney Weaver narrating instead of David Attenborough :x

Yeah, I was gonna give a heads-up to the usual HD DVDers before I put it up

Damn so nearly everyone released? I got the blu-ray fever now. The drive for the xbox was stupid it was powered by an extra plug and i hate wires and the were all over the show plus i have kids so couldnt leave it out all the time. Im much better off with the blu-ray built into the PS3. :)

I think HD DVD is better quality though on a general assuption.

Everyone released was region free, just some had slight differences between regions.

Most of the time HD DVD and BluRay is exactly the same quality, as dual format releases use the same encode in 99% of cases (I can't remember which are different encodes, but they are very few). The HDi interactive features on HD DVD are technically much more advanced than the BDJava on BluRay so HD DVD could theoretically have better interactive features. BD has a higher capacity though, so can fit more special features or higher bitrate encodes on the disc.
