well you'll have trouble selling if you wont post first to a trusted member mate

(5) Please Post Images (click for details) including a piece of paper with your user name and date next to the actual items for sale. This helps your sale or trade by showing the condition, establishing validity and also that you have the items in your possession. If you post an eBay image or are unable to post any images, we may pull the listing immediately to request further information.

IT works the same way as sending to someoen with 1000 HDUK rating.

You dont ask a new shop to send you the product first before paying.

If he has reliable feedback and seems genuine then pay. If you dont want to, then dont buy, simple as that. New users shouldnt be forced into giving up their items before payment just because they are new. Everyone has to start somewhere, and this guy is coming here with good feedback rating, offering his phone number etc, he is bending over backwards to do his upmost to "fit in" and is still getting knocked down

Ok my av forums username is stone I've recently sold my old Cpu this is turning out to be alot more hassle

bit different over a shop counter and ebay tho, i would say, ok, pay with paypal and he pays fee's to cover himself and the buyer, instead of all this going on, simple, but he loses out on that so dont know if he'd go for it

They are not forced, and they start somewhere usually by sending first to only trusted members.
Or of course start by selling smaller items to build up a feedback.

Yeah a guy i got ripped off by had a ebay rating of over 1000 and gave me his house and mobile number...did it help me claim the money? NO. thus im saying personally i dont lsiten to what ebay rating is...if dealing on HUKDs i go by HUKD rating, if dealing on ebay (which i dont) then ill go by ebay rating, if dealing on AVF ill go by AVF feedback!
#17
I do understand but i have to start somewhere i've offered you address, phone number ,mobile ,av forums username, ebay username. i'll post the pics up 2mos of the Maxtor when i get it down from the loft with my name

You're not being forced into buying it, so just move on. Rather than try and badger the person into sending it first by making out "them are the rules roudn these parts" because they clearly are not, and its very rare that people send first before payment.

it really isnt...just this tuesday i had a brand new bloke send a £67 transaction before i paid...and those arent the rules, they are what people do to feel secure as weve had a few rip off merchants since xmas.

Im no im not forced to buy anything...i hate that phrase ive heard it too much this week, we are trying to say that its a good offer, and that the user is VERY trustworthy. Considering you dont seem interested in this item nor are you the OP that makes you less interested in this thread then i am surely? :p

EDIT: PS. i also notice Mattcafc you have a negative already?
#20
Yes I have a negative, well noticed, OH NO THAT MUST MEAN I AM OUT TO CON PEOPLE AND HAVE FLEECED SOMEONE OUT OF MONEY. Or maybe I havent. (Already? Been here nearly 2 years mate. Done well over 50 deals aswell, check my past threads to see if you're that bothered)

It is uncommon to send first, an dont be pedantic and yes it isnt with your one example. It probably less than 1 in 100 deals on HDUK send firsts.

Im just trying to help a new user, and make sure he isnt scammed himself

you might have been here a long time and post deals, but im on about activity in the Fs/Ft...which you have 8 which 1 is negative, not saying your a con artist im saying that something obviously went wrong (and can often be genuine reason, or rather unreasonable person) How is the OP going to get 'fleeced' by a trusted member of HUKDs?

maybe only 1 in 100 deals is sent first, but id say that if a larger item of greater value being sold to a member with good feedback and is well trusted and its in OPs first few sales then id say there is usually at least 40% of them send first:thumbsup:

NOW should we leave the OP to make his sale as HE sees fit?
#22
woo steady! Sorry but i have good feedback on here, made many deals where i sent first (due to being a new member like you) and where other members have sent me first. Check my feedback. My offer is still here plus payment as soon as received and working. Cant really say fairer than that..
#23
If you aren't willing to post first etc then why sell here considering you won't be any more likely to get a better price here than over at AV where you already trade?

My first three or four trades I posted first, no big deal - just dealt with those with good feedback.

and how many people always put the right thread? hardly anyone!

& how many people actually bother leaving feedback! I'd be pushing 40 by now otherwise

It was a simple enough question OP.

sure ill just work my way through 800+posts...fancy going through my 3000+?
You seem to have lots of old non expired thread where things havent sold as well. But otherwise im not going to dispute some feedbacks not left but 40+ is silly id chase them up at least some of them!
#33
Just to say I have dealt with this guy over on AV forums (CPU & GPU) and everything went OK with the sale :)
#34
Sending first is not part of the rules but it can help a sale, however if the Op does not want to send first then leave him alone and move on.

And dont bother trying to slate my FS feedback, Rep or what ever else you can think of!!!!!
#35
You sold it yet?
#36
I've accepted a offer of £53 at the moment
#37
#38
Im happy to take it. would you accept half payment now and half on delivery? that way we are both covered
#39
If your ok with that? i'll post the item on monday

if you pm me with your paypal addy i'll send you a invoice
#40
