Hi lalaw. Welcome to the forums. I've edited out your mobile number, it's not a good idea for it to be on a public forum. If anyone here is interested, they will PM you.

Uploading some pics would help your sale...

I think you ought to revise your price, you're asking double for what it's worth. Ash

When we traded in my girlfriends Punto (N reg, 1.1 55sx) recently we were very lucky to get £250...granted, it was in very poor condition, but even in decent nick we would have been lucky to get double that for it.

Good luck though, but you really do need to re-price it more realistically.

Some pictures of the car would help too!

Ooooops, just seen someone had already posted what i just did, if only id been quicker....

Then again, my Dad has only just got rid of his L Reg FIAT punto thing, his was very reliable :)
Hes opted for yet another FIAT

Personally, i think its just personal taste, but in my short life (im 21, shortly 22!) ive bought 3 cars.
1) N Reg Ford Fiesta 1.8 Diesel (about 2 years ago) before i got my license, L plates on, cam belt went after 50 miles.
2) Metro - Current car, old owners before me. Lovely condition for its age, well looked after, going strong.
3) Citroen Saxo S Reg 1.5 Diesel. Bought to replace metro (which i luckily kept!) bag of crap so was sold on!

So as i said its personal choice, everyone will steer clear from certain makes of car, i guess its just luck of the draw when you buy ANY car...

I had a metro before I got a focus st170, bit of a change, but since then ive had a few cars but i still miss the metro, never had a single fault engine wise, shame the exterior was falling apart on me, but it had a good heart. Good ole British engineering is Metro's

Awwww :)
Mines a 1995 model, and is in ex condition inside and out, has a little bit of rust, but nothing to moan about really - and to be expected with its age....
It was took to the garage last week, turned out just wanted its brakes cleaning, not much to ask at all :)
He had a good luck at it for me too, and couldnt see anything its going to fail its MOT on yet - not due till april though.

When i got the saxo, i actually cried :giggle: cos i didnt think it matched up to my metro :)
Only time we'll say goodbye is when its scrap yard time :(

My first car was Austin Metro too :) It was OK apart from gas suspension thingy, which needed to be refilled every couple of months. As to Fiats, one of my current cars is Punto. Nice car, drives great and very reliable.

Mine had industrial tin foil on the rear wheel arches to make sure it passed the MOT with the amount of rust it had, i referred to them as 'go-faster' stripes ;-)

LOL!
Yeah rusting on back arches is the main problem with metros, every car has there "fault" if youll call it that, and on metros its that :)
My rust isnt too bad, and going to sort it out soon, got my sandpaper, filler and spray paint at the ready :)
