1ST POST SO GO EASY PLEASE,
I have a brand new Nintendo NES system the one with super mario game in box,
Everything is still wrapped up in its original wrappers and sealed, ALL paper work still in the box untouched.
It has never been set up or played so NEW, not mint, NEW cant get any better,
I bought it as an investment years ago and maybe its time to cash in?
If anyone would like to make me a sensible offer or point me in the right direction to sell that would be great
Iwant more than £250
Thanks
Shipping/Payment:
I will arrange that if offer made

How did you manage to get a brand new NES :S
#2
Thats amazing, how did you manage to keep it that long????

I would have broken it out at least 5 years ago for some retro gaming goodness!

Mate, you cant ask for "more" than the asking price :S
Also, if it has never been played..then it may be faulty :-D

I have a suggestion for you... EBAY.

I wonder how much that cost all those years ago... taking into account inflation and possible savings if you had stuck it in a bank...I wonder if its actually going to make money ?
#4
I'd keep it for another 10 years.. then it might make some money..

bought it in 86 new.
kept for 22 years
might have made more money if it was in the bank but who does anyone know with a new nes system??????
need the cash and ebay is **** :-D

pics? feedback from anywhere else? location for pick up? also members cannot offer over your price, this is not an auction site, the rules for selling are in the link at the top of every thread in the fs/ft board

I doubt you will get that kind of money on here unless there are some console collectors about! I would suggest ebay and i would have thought you would get 150/200 there. Well dont for keeping it for so long,

Wow! What a collector's piece! I don't think the asking price is entirely unfair, because even just games for the NES that are still sealed go for £50-100 on eBay. However I think it highly unlikely that you're going to get £250 for it on this site, as it's full of bargain hunters. Whatever your feelings about eBay, I think your best bet would be to put it on there, with either a starting or reserve price of £250, and see what the bidding goes to.

You can't ask for more than the RRP, but does this count if the item is no longer in production/general sale?

I would really be keeping hold of this in this condition, you've resisted temptation for 22 years, stay strong . . . . . :w00t:

RRP is £109.99

Obviously doesnt apply in this case :-D
#13
Are you open to offers below £250? I can offer £150.

He meant this statement in the OP:

which, from 1986 prices, inflation brings to just shy of £230 :)

my advice to the OP would be to advertise it on the rllmuk forums, or ntsc-uk as both are more likely to have potential buyers than here.

If you have feedback elsewhere, I may be seriously interested.
