 Hello folks,

I thought i would see if any of you were interested in this gear coz i don't like using ebay (got stung really bad last time by a scumbag and lost out £250 and xda2 :( poor me!!!)

Basically i went on a wireless internet rampage about 6 months ago and jumped in with both feet and bought the first thing I seen and 3 wireless routers later I gave up and now i have an abundance or routerage catching dust in my bedroom. ok so here goes i am selling:

http://www.netgear.co.uk/common/images/picWGR614.jpg
Recondtioned Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless Cable Router with 4-port Switch

100% working product, no scratches or faults.

Gimmie £15 and it's yours!!! *delivery will be discussed

Bought this as my first option then realised that my bt broadband modem didn't have a network port on it therefore i was unable to link it up with the wireless router. All together now...duuuhhhh!!!

http://www.netgear.co.uk/common/images/picDG834GT.jpg

Reconditioned Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless Kit - ADSL Modem Router + laptop card + usb reciever

100% working product, no scratches or faults.

I will take £35 for the whole kit!!! *delivery will be discussed

I bought and used this for about two weeks. My bedroom is three floors up so signal strength wasn't too hot for me and being an old house the walls are solid.

So I was then recommended that the linksys wireless kit was a good bet and it was on promotion at dixons so i went ahead and bought it too!!! I now don't use it either as after a while i had the same problem and went back to the old wired solution:x . I am an idiot i know. "Why didin't you bring it all back" i hear you cry, well no.1 i'm the laziest person you will meet and put off bringing it back and now all i can get is an exchange which is pointless.

Hope this interests sum1.

Cheers

Hi,

hanks for the interest mate, i'll need to see if anyone wants the full package first as the router is kinda worthless without the adapters but i'll never say never. I'll let you know if no one wants the whole lot ok!

Oh you haggler you!!! ;-) I think £35 + delivery is reasonable to ask though ( i will not overcharge on delivery i promise ) i paid £70 for this 6 month ago lol. It comes in a brown netgear box with software cd's and manuals etc. Just found the box but looking at it I now think it was a reconditioned product when i bought it but all seems to work 100%. Not a scratch on the router. I will add that to the description now incase it was infact reconditioned.

As long as delivery is cheap are you still interested?

If so how would you like to pay?

1. WGR614

2. DG834G
#10
Have sold neither yet mate. Send me a pm so i can get back to you later when i confirm model numbers etc. I will deal on first come basis ok ;)
#11

#12
Sorry Capt, just back from a hard pre season training. Woooahhh knackered. Ok the models are as follows....

MR814v2 - Wireless router

WGR614 - Full Kit

I have had a few offers £45 inc delivery from cfm2006 who pm'd me earlier. I'm not trying to start a bidding war or anything just obviously gonna sell it to whoever offers the most...hold on that is kinda like a bidding war, you know what i mean. ;)

Ok folks I have a problem. Whilst checking the model numbers i have realised that I am missing the USB reciever. Just my luck  I will have a good hunt for it and will let ya's know when i find it. Really sorry, still willing to sell to those who have shown interest but I need to find it. Ragin. It's about here sumwhere.

Thanks for your patience. ;)

to be brutally honest it is possible to buy new kits that are better than the kit you are offering. So I'd take the £45 offered to you and run.

Capt, I hope you don't think I'm tryin to rip anyone off (i would rather keep a good rep on here than make a meesley £45!!!). The guy oviously genuinely wanted the kit and is prepared to pay £45 for it when i did honestly pay £70 6months ago. Lets first of all not forget that delivery for this size of box from N.Ireland insn't exactly cheap as it's quite heavy i will be sending it recorded delivery. So he will be paying just over the asking price which I and many others obviously thought was fair. If he does feel he is paying over the odds he is very welcome to change his offer. It's good kit in good nic.

Thanks for your opinion though...much appreciated! ;)
#16
Just to add, I did a quick search on kelkoo the cheapest i can find is 37.90 minus delivery for the router alone. I don't think my asking price or the £45 offered is really that ridiculous.
#17
don't get me wrong I don't think you are trying to rip anyone off, just stating the fact that their is usually a better deal out there if people are prepared to look. What you are offering is reasonable priced and to be prefectly honest near all current WiFi equipment will be old tech when ISO ratify the 802.11.n technology. Me personnally I have a WiFi router but use the wired network because it is a gigabit network so I would be stupied not to use it as it is a hell of a lot faster than the data transfer speeds that WiFi currently offer.
#18
All you say is true mate and I agree, however not everyone can afford to have a wired network around their houses which in my case was a problem with the 3 floor house. I need to make sure i can find the usb thing when i get back home tonight rather than keep peeps waiting. I can only apologise again to those waiting on me. I will sort it out asap!!! :D
#20
Weird they don't give a model number but yes it looks like it is!
#21
ok in that case i'll offer £12 inc.
#22
£12 for the full wireless kit???

talk about a kick in the balls, it is worth at treble that. £30 to £35 is reasonable for it deliveried.
#24
Couldn't agree more. You do know there is a freebies section on this forum? This however is not it :D
#25
I reakon you are probably better selling them on ebay at this rate.
#26
Wait I Might Be Interested!

Can I Get Back To You In A Bit Im Going Out But Will Come Back To Check

Wait For Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

DO THESE WORK with TELEWEST broadband?

thanks
#27
I would imagine so mate. No rush. My Gf is moving house and i can't find the damn usb reciever everything else is boxed and ready to go (original bubble wrap and all ;) ) I can;t sell the full kit without it so i will not sell it anywhere until if ind it. The search goes on.
#28
i was only after the router, in option one, hence the offer.
#29
Sorry mate i kninda guessed. Was just joking. Well it's boxed and ready to go but delivery could be expensive enough sending so £12 including delivery is not really worthwhile. £12 + delivery i might be able to do.
#30
the last one went for £11.52 inc on the bay so i think my offer is fair. let me know if you want to proceed. i'm in no hurry for one so if its too low then dont worry.

I have the same router as in post 20 on NTL and it works great. I have four computers running from it. 2 Laptops wireless and two wired computers. NO probles at all. Great signals even in the garden and across the road at a friends!
Hope this helps.
#32
Cheers dinosteveus. glad to hear some positive feedback regarding this router. As i said unfortunately I didn't have much luck with it (infact any of the three  )due to the fact that my house is 3 stories high but my friend who advised me to get this router in the first place has had no bother with his either.

Fair enough mate, i'll let you know ok!
#34
As I said mine worked across the street, 4 walls and a 'normal' street between the router and my Laptop, I wonder if yours is faulty in some way?
#35
I don't think so. Coz i have 3 different routers (2 netgear and now a linksys bought from pc world) I now use the good old wire.
#36
Do u still have that first option because ill buy it if it comes with all the wires initially provided thanks a lot
