SteppyTag, as this is a high value item & you have no existing HUKD feedback could you possibly provide a photograph with your HUKD user name & date displayed beside item & links to any external feedback you may have eg at ebay, thank you.
(5) Please post images including a piece of paper with your user name and date next to the actual items for sale. This helps your sale or trade by showing the condition and also that you have the items in your possession. This is not a necessity but will go a long way to helping your sale and establishing validity. If you post an eBay image, we may pull the listing immediately to request further information.

13) Goods remain the responsibility of the seller until the buyer takes possession and affirms they are okay. For this reason be honest in your descriptions and include original photos so the buyer knows what they are getting! Also, use a form of insured and signed for delivery to ensure any shipping/delivery mishaps will be covered.
*PayPal Advice:
If paying by PayPal's 'Gift' option to save on fees, you won't be able to raise a regular dispute with PayPal if a transaction goes wrong. For protection make a normal payment and pay the fees...

(2) Outside of this you can use the poster's eBay feedback to establish some kind of trust level. If you do so make sure you contact the user through eBay to make sure the account they state as theirs is indeed theirs.

who said that most people on here can get student discount ? It is so easy to get someone comes with you and produce a student card.

Apple does 14% discount for students.

The warranty will last until November 2009 and will be in your name and details which you register when you first use the macbook

No it's not. There is no need to produce a receipt or a registered warranty under your name. When you come to the Genius Bar, they only need to take the serial number, and they wil know whether the MacBook is under warranty or not. I have double checked with Apple Store

Lower than I was hoping, could go to £725?

And yeah i can give you the serial number certainly - but like I said I'm not going back until later this week am away with work at the moment, could probably be collected on friday/saturday if you can wait?
#10
I may be able to do 700 and collect or get you to come to me (in Wem :P), but won't be for just over a week as I'm off to Copenhagen tomorrow! Do let me know if that's of interest. Also have a lot of trades too if you're looking for other bits like an EEE 701 Netbook,Xbox 360 games and accessories, manga books, DS games etc!

if me and jaymd don't reach a deal I shall consider your offer thanks, it sounds ok to me, and i don't mind having to wait, as i have to wait a few days anyway.

#15
Hi,

Sorry, I couldn't do that, just as we are both new and could say vulnerable to things that could go wrong, so I would need you to pay on collection from me.
#16
Lowered to £700 - if people are waiting for pics i can get them up tomorrow - or is there just a general lack of interest?!
#17
I expect people are waiting for pics with your name next to the item - is there a particular reason why it's taken you so long to get photos?

I came back yesterday (Thursday) night after I'd been away, and wasn't bothered to it today - will sort them out in the morning
#19
Thanks for the reply. Are you prepared to send it by courier or is it cash on collection only?

Sorry I have been away unexpectedly, here are a couple of pics - I broke the seal to take a pic of inside the box, just so people can be sure about its genuineness...Nothing inside has been touched all seals/covers/plastic etc are still on...

It's only the 2.4Ghz model that has the illuminated keyboard - not really a big deal unless you like working in the dark :-D

Seeing the pictures makes me want this even more!! Unfortunately I just can't justify spending that much on a laptop at the mo... hope you sell it soon then the temptation will go away, lol

Exceptional price, if I had any money I would of bought it of you, good luck with the sale :)
#33
Thank you - really not worth going any lower :) will leave it on here until the end of tomorrow :)
#34
Hi Steppytag, I'm still considering this, lol!!

I'm too far away to collect (just outside Bristol) so my best offer would be £650 + £21 for royal mail insured delivery (covers up to £1000) - so £671 total

The only thing that I'm not sure about is sending the money since you have no feedback on here and it's a lot of cash.

Let me know what you think?
#35
Lol hi again! Erm hmm that is quite far so collection definitely out of the window...

I'm not sure about sending the money online either..definitely not how I'd prefer to do it as its quite expensive and therefore risky, tell you what, will leave it until tomorrow - if have not arranged a deal for collection with someone will talk to you more about this?
#36
yep, that's fine.

Just to add:

sending the laptop should be ok because it would be fully insured with the Royal Mail.

As for me sending the money, not sure whether you'd consider 50% first then the other 50% when I receive it? I think you can clearly see from my feedback I'm not about to scam anyone, lol

We'd need to come up with a solution that we're both happy with.

Have a think about it anyway
#37
just out of interest where did you buy this from? and do you have reciept for warranty purpose?
#38
sarbjeet_ - got it as a bonus from work - receipt is not needed as warranty is based on serial number :)

hexen, will likely get in touch with you tomorrow afternoon with my thoughts :)
#39
hmm ive already got an laptop and your price is tempting what to do loool.
#40
:p im sure you fancy it..
