Nintendo DS Slim - White - with R4 and 2gig memory card £120.00

I've finally decided to sell my Slim Nintendo DS White. It comes with an R4DS and a 2gig memory card.

It's in good condition, hardly used.

The Nintendo DS is currently very hard to find in the shops, and the R4 catridge is near on impossible to find.

Looking for £120 + p&p or collection from St Albans, hertfordshire.

...and a photo of your R4DS/Memory card bundle, I would make an offer if you can despatch by Royal Mail Special Delivery & accept payment from a verified PayPal account.

Hi,

Thanks for your Private Message ("PM") & offer of the photos I requested.

I appreciate you are a relatively new member, so you may not be aware of this, but all discussions regarding an item must be kept in the original thread until an agreed price is reached between buyer & seller. I note from your "PM", and from your comment above, that somebody else has offered £120 for your items... but I see no evidence of this within the thread.

To be compliant with the forum rules, I suggest you & the interested party declare interests here rather than via "PM".

I would not be looking to spend £120 anyway, so if you do get another offer in the meantime, please go with that.

BFN,

fp.

Hi

Is this the DS Lite ? Is that what you meant by slim ?

Do you have any games at all ?

I live 20 minutes from you and can pick up Friday night or Saturday am and will give you £120 cash.

thanks
#10
Hi all,

Yep its the DS Lite.

I've had three offers of £120, unless anyone goes higher i'll take those offers in the order I recieved them!
#11
can you post some pics please?
and 3 offers?
I only see 2 in here
#12
£120 and pick up tonight - money in your hands....no PayPal fees, no postage, no aggro with packaging. Must say my offer was the first unconditional one in the thread, and I have a 7 year old who will be really upset if I can't source one of these darn things before the 25th,
Does the symapthy vote swing it ?
#13
Please bear with me everyone - HDUK seems to be giving ALOT of errors. I cannot seem to reply etc!
#14
Barbiegirl.
read the rules.
asking for pictures is not conditional it's a requirement for selling.

and if we're playing the sympathy vote...did your 7 yr old have their existing DS Lite taken from them by 5 teenage boys on their way home from school?
because my 9 year old nephew did about 3 and a half weeks ago.

I am sure I might offend people here, but i have recieved a number of messages from people I will keep anonymous. They have informed me that second hand Nintendo DS consoles are going for £165 min if i sell through Play.com, and £155 if i sell through amazon.co.uk. I have also been told that my R4DS is worth £50 at current market demand.

I hope you will understand that i would be crazy to sell this for potentially £80+ less than what I could get easily elsewhere. My car failed its MOT today and however much i'd love to help out you and sell really cheaply, i'm going to have to raise my asking price.

I will have a think about how much I should let it go for - i'd prefer to sell here to a friendly community than on a commercial site like that, so in the mean time could the mods close this thread?

Thanks, and sorry. Please keep an eye out though :-)

I think you just broke every rule in the book, here and morally.
You cannot sell for over rrp here.
you were happy to sell at rrp until you got money hungry.

The children in my family have been raised to be patient and understanding, so feel free sell elsewhere.
I am however reporting you for time wasting and rule breaking, no one has time for this.
#18
With all due respect arcsbite, I cannot agree. The DS RRP is what, £110? The memory cards sell for £10+ and as far as i'm aware, there is no RRP for the R4DS however after a quick check on ebay they're selling for £40. If we all all this up I think you'll find that the _rough_ RRP is nearer £160.

I cannot quite understand how wanting to sell it at what it is worth is considering "money hungry", but I somewhat guess you may be slightly bitter at my decision not to sell to you (although you were originally first contender).

Thanks for your offer to sell elsewhere, I might just do that. Please go ahead and report me for "time wasting" - mistakes happen and if i'd have known the RRP of this lot I would have started higher. And rule breaking? where's that?

Mods, please close. I will either sell elsewhere or keep it. I won't sell it here though.

I am sorry to hear about your son. I was actually joking about the sympathy pitch but I fear you may have missed that.

As to "read the rules" - I've tried but I can't seem to find them . To be fair I can't find much since Nikell and his team started messing around with HUKD...

I must ask you though, if the pictures posted show a big crack in one of the screens woudl you still want to buy it ? No ? Then that makes your offer conditional !

I think you are taking this all a bit too seriously !!!

RRP for the DS lite is £99 as stated here in HUKD.
RRP for the Micro SD is £10.95 as stated at Play.com
RRP for the R4DS is £16 as stated at Dealextreme

total less than £130.

your price plus shipping would have been close.

to be honest they are back in stock at shopto.net for £99.99 so there's harldly a big demand, I'm honestly not bitter I'm just sick of people coming here a bargain forum and trying to flog their second hand goods for profit, that's what ebay is for.
anyway best of luck with your sale.

I don't have a son, learn to read.
as for the rules try that big link at the top of the page.
if the picture showed a big crack it wouldn't be " in good condition, hardly used" would it.
Posting actual pictures of the item for sale is a sale requirement, not a condition for buying - Fact.
I'm sorry that you feel caught out for trying to break the rules and take a sale that you arrived too late for.

I'm not taking it too seriously at all, I'm just playing by the rules, maybe you should try it some time.

P.S. if you're still clambering for a DS, try shopto.net they have stock of the black ones in for £99.99 and will be getting other colours in before Xmas.
#22
No they haven't - shopto have even stopped taking pre-ordered.

And clearly a RRP of £130 is less than the £120 I was unhappy to sell at. So you're point is void and you just look like you're TRYING to cause trouble now.

Thanks for the best of luck - i'm not looking to get a profit, I just want to sell to friendly people. You haven't come across as one of those.

How do I get a thread locked?

Hello,

i can understand why he has revolked his offer, though i called him first and we had agreed a price and all we were going to do was transfer payment and details this evening. was surpised to get back in and see that he would accept higher offers. little bit annoying that someones word isnt their bond and a little bit annoyed that his reasoning is "i may not even sell it anymore due to lots of hassle", would have preferred a "look ive not met you before i can get loads more for it and for the cost of one awkward phone call telling you this it's ultimately worth it".

i cannot stand on your side reflexreact the problem here is u stated a price in your op and people were willing to meet this.
You found out u can get abit more for it so u withdrew your offer of sale and this to me and alot of people shows u went back on your word and are dishonest
i dont blame u for going for the higher offers, everyone would its just how u went about it makes u seem well u know................:)
#27
reflexreact dont worry its ok when its the other way round and people post links when somethings cheaper then the stated price but when its round the other way god forbid

i see someones said that, you had both agreed to a price but at the end of the day if someone had posted a link where its was a lot chepaer then you were offering it for i bet they would go for it regardless of a deal or not (or they would of probably had asked you to lower your price)
#28
Is it worth asking for photos still?...

What an awesomely awful thread. No pics from the op, despite fp asking for them in post 4 (btw as discussed many times, pics are not a requirement for selling arcsbite- but obv few would buy without seeing pics and sellers are encouraged to post them.) A large number of good offers from trusted members here that are not replied to. A seller who seems to want to blame pure greed on 'mystery pms'. If you want to ignore all the offers posted here, don't come back with a pathetic 'well, i want more money' attitude. You've played fp from the start- pming another mystery £120 offer to try and get more cash from him. Most of us here will have sold something cheaply in the past- I sold a few games here yesterday for £10 less than i could have sold them for on ebay. But I sold them to someone i'd dealt with before, someone I know won't quibble if I ask them to go £5 lower on a future sale. At £120 you would have made back wht you originally paid for the items and gained some credibility on the forum as an honest and trusted seller. That's not as important as an extra £40 cash though, is it?

Yet another 'seller' to avoid.

You're missing the point entirely. Clearly, an RRP of £130 means you'd be selling it for roughly that amount or less, since it's second hand.

Anyway - you were obviously NOT unhappy to sell at £120, that's why you listed it at that price in the first place and accepted offers for that amount!

You're just a greedy so-and-so and need to leave this forum if anything else, as you're clearly only here because you want to make a quick buck off people now that you think you can.

What b****sh**! R4 DS are available at approx £25 delivered from the UK. I know, because I just received one today that I ordered on Wednesday (here http://www.supercardstore.com/ref1/product_info.php?products_id=57&osCsid=hajn4mq2tkbn7rd6hhlv5pb1v0)

And as for 2nd hand DSs going for £165, that is horse manure too. There are lots of new DSs on eBay at well below that price on buy-it-now prices (and many have extras included).

More importantly, you've broken all the rules of this forum.
