Is it one of the older Wiis that can still be modded (if Wii sports is in a plastic DVD box then it is)? If it is then I'll pay £160 delivered.

As far as I am aware, all wiis can be modded.

Wiis with D2B chips can be done easily:thumbsup:
Wiis with D2B chips with cut legs can be done but are a lot trickier:?
Wiis with D2C chips can't be modded with any of the current chips:-(

i believe this is the older wii. it has wii sports bundle logo on the front. ill sell to you if your paying 160 as stated.
you will also get the receipt for warranty purposes, (not sure if youll need it as youll mod it) but it will be included. let me know
#7
you could enter the serial number here : http://nintendo-scene.com/wiitracker/search.php

to give the buyer(s) a better estimate of the chip / cut leg situation

My wii sports was in a sleeve but still moddable - just has cut legs....

Put the serial number in that tracker and paste the results...

Hi rockatin,

Yep, I'll pay £160 as offered if the Wii sports is in a plastic DVD box. PM me with payment details.

I think all Wiis have the Wii Sports logo on the box, it's the consoles that come with Wii sports in the cardboard sleeve that either have cut legs on the dvd controller chip (much harder to mod) or have the new d2c chip which can't be modded at all at the moment.

You're thinking of DMS there. ;-)
#11
Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2B.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

does this help all you chipper people :)
#12
is it sale only?

I am thinking of selling my Xbox 1 with xecuter 2 chip and XBMC with loads of games.

interested in partial trade?

i will pay money on top.
#13
not intrested in your xbox cash only unless you have a better trade, 160 from rossington is highest and when he is next online he can have it...unless his offer is beaten
#14
Yep, I'll take it. PM me with your payment details.
#15
Payment sent.
#16

How did you post the item? Recorded?
#23
For items that are high in value i would only send it special delivery (insured upto £500) 1st class is only covered for £38 i believe
#24
hes trying to scam you and if you dont have that lil recorded slip then he keeps the item u sent and his money back!!!!!!!!
#25
I've had a bunch of Recorded Delivery parcels not arrive in the last few months, many more than ever before. The PO are ****. Ever since they changed recorded delivery so that you cant see where your parcel is until it arrives theyve been ****. Parcels just disappear and are never seen again.
#26
Does no one else find it suspicious that rossington hasnt actualy come on the thread and said anything about this? Im thinking he's dodgy and worried that if he says anything on here people will break his story!
#27
soooo any suggestions anyone?
#28
buyer has escalated dispute to a claim!!!!!! what can i do now?????

i cant believe scum like this can get away as easily as this

Hard to throw about acusations like "scam" without knowing either party.

If you have the proof of postage then

1. check online to see if it was delivered

2. submit it to paypal like everyone has said.
#32
How was it sent rockatin? Special or Recorded delivery?
#33
Right, just to clear things up because everyone on this thread seems to think I'm trying to pull some kind of scam....

Payment was sent/received on the 31st August and I received the following PM from Rockatin: "Payment recieved ill do my best to send it out tmrw to your paypal address"

Console was still not received by the 5th September so I PM'ed again asking when I could expect delivery and received the following reply:- "Hi Ross,
Im really sorry mate ive been working away, wasnt planned had to cover last minute, the wii is ready to be shipped got your address on and everything, ill take it up post office tmrw morning and send you refrence number as soon as i come back online. hopeully youll have it for the weekend
sorry for the delay mate
James"

Still no console (or tracking number as promised) received by Friday evening so I sent the following PM :-

"Hi James,

Still not received the Wii and I'm going on Holiday for a week tomorrow. I should be in to catch the post in the morning but if not it will hopefully be waiting for me at the post office when I get back - I think they keep undelivered parcels for a week before returning them to the sender.

Regards,

Ross"

The console still hadn't arrived by Saturday morning and wasn't waiting for me at home or at the sorting office when I returned from holiday on the 15th but I had received the following PM in the meantime:- "Hi Ross,
it should of been with you by now hopefully, if not then should be by monday, i think its 3 weeks untill they return undelivered stuff, but if it comes back to me ill resend it for you.

James"

All fair enough so far, I was a bit worried that I didn't have the console but I know how these things can go so I was prepared to be patient and wait to see what happened, proof that he'd actually sent the console would have been reassuring so I PM'ed:- "Hi James,

Got back yesterday and it's not been delivered whilst I've been away. Do you have a tracking number or proof of postage - I'm not sure I want to wait 3 weeks sitting on my hands waiting to see if it turns up.

Regards,

Ross"

And this is where it gets confusing, bearing in mind it's now been over 2 weeks since I sent payment and I've received no console and no proof of postage, I then get the following PM:- "Hi ross,

That is silly, 3 weeks and it hasnt turned up?? i have proof of postage, il have to locate it as i have receipts everywhere. are you sure you havent got a red card or anything? can you call your local sorting office and ask if its there, also can you check with neighbours.

James"

What? "3 weeks and it hasn't turned up?" He claims he only sent it just over 1 week ago! I assume he's got confused because I quoted the 3 weeks he's claimed it would take for the Royal Mail to return a missing parcel but if he only posted it just over a week ago why would he think it hasn't turned up for the last 3? It's at this point that I posted a claim with Paypal - Rockatin doesn't even seem to know when he posted the console so how am I expected to believe he actually has.

It's now 19 days since I sent payment and I DON'T have the console, I HAVEN'T received any proof of postage or tracking info and Rockatin doesn't even seem to know when he posted the console. If there's anyone who wouldn't put in a claim with Paypal at this point then I'd love to hear from them.
#34
You shouldn't really post PM's without the other persons permission but I see why you've done it, Its nice to see the other side of the story.

Me personally i'd have asked for the tracking number (as you did) and if I didn't get it within a couple of days i'd put in a claim with paypal.

Rockatin, Why haven't you sent the tracking number?

Obviously it's all Royal Mail & the Post Offices fault isn't it ? Maybe yopu should see some of the parcels that are sent ? or maybe you should try reading some of the address that people write. If you can find a better delivery service other than RM then why not use them ? cause I can guarantee one thing, you'll pay a sh*t load more.

There is a lesson to be learnt, and this is coming from a Post Man. Recorded Delivery means diddley squat. It's glorified 1st Class, if you have something of high value then send it Special Delivery as its the only real way of tracking the item.
#37
I only send low value items through recorded, because as mentioned previously in the thread paypal requires this. All i'm saying is that before the system changed from being able to track items as they passed through depots etc I lost very few packages- and then mostly because people forgot to pick them up in time. If the intention of the PO is to get rid of the Recorded service for the more expensive Special Delivery service by making it unreliable, they're doing a good job.

I do believe it is all the fault of the RM and PO system. All of my parcels are well packaged, I use waterproofed printed labels, and I fill in the recorded slips before going to my local PO. The PO are simply doing a rubbish job. I recieved a payment of £108 today from a parcel sent three weeks ago first class recorded. The parcel had turned up three days ago at the recipients address, and guess what- the tracking page on the PO site still has it listed as 'not yet delivered'. What is recorded supposed to mean if they don't bother recording it has been delivered, and what's the point paying first class postage if it takes weeks to get there?

I will use payperdrop for everything above £6 postage now- they are reliable and efficient. Pointing out that there is no alternative for smaller packages in a 'shut up and put up' way is interestingly indicative of the postal service. No company ever provided an efficient or useful service with that sort of attitude.

i have proof of posting right in front of me, i am going to scan the receipt and load it onto photo bucket so everyone can see,
would of been nice to have been told you were going to post my PMs but ill let it go as everyone should see both sides of the story.

weight 3100 KG
Total cost of services 10.49
posted on 06/09/2007
building number 1 post code BN15 0**
and now i have found the reiceipt everyone else will be able to see it,

it has only been in transit for 10 working days and i cant even enquire to the post office until 14 working days

AND FOR THE RECORD... it was a misunderstanding when i said 3 weeks and no delivery, i was referring to your comment that you didnt want to wait 3 weeks. in my haste i thought that it had been 3 weeks from when it was sent (which i now realise was very wrong) and was just stating that it was silly for a parcel not to be delivered in 3 weeks

glad youve got in contact rossington so we can sort this out, please try and get online as regular as possible
