But if you shop around on the 'Net you can source the same titles for up to half the price listed on the site.

To be fair, the main reason I went for the GAME deal is that I have a reward card already & the QuidCo cashback percentage is higher than at GAME(Station).

:)

Hmm fair do's i think i'd sway toward the game one then ^^ i have a reward card too.

Went to Bluewater Shopping Centre (in Kent) on Thursday to look at the Wii deals in-store, but was sadly disappointed to find that the web site deals are much better (and varied). Asked the store staff (at the two different branches in Bluewater) if they matched the online deals & they both confirmed in the negative. The second sales representative I spoke to asked which deal was being offered [I quoted the one above], and she first said "Bloody Hell...!!!" then regained her composure & added, "There's no way we can match that".

I went to Virgin & found they were offering Wii + 1 game for £200, or Wii + 2 games for £220. Also went to HMV and, although I didn't make a specific note of the deals, I came away thinking the online deal at GAME suited me much better... especially when you can find titles at Asda-Entertainment.co.uk starting from £17.97!

Got any tips for good game titles, btw?

Here's my "hit list" to date:

Games I had were Super Monkey Ball (okay but so repetative, Sonic, was a bit meh, Zelda was pretty good but kept getting stuck, Wii Play was actually pretty fun, enjoyed the tank game :P Wouldnt of minded having Mario Strikers tho looks good, and some soon to be released games like SSMB etc.

Thanks :)

Have "Sonic..." on the PS3 & thought it was so poor it has never been played more than once. My kids were even bored with it & they are big fans of the annoying blue animal. I thought the lip-sync was very bad.

Sorry... "SSMB"? Waddat?
#21
Sonic Wildfire its completly different and supposebly better but I think both are poor and I'm a fan :/ Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the only reason I want my Wii again :p.

Ah... thanks :)

I've never really been a fan of Nintendo games... found them all a bit "kiddy" or "girlie" for my liking. Have a GameCube that we bought for Donkey Konga, but I have never been a Sonic/Mario/Yoshi fan, so the games don't do anything for me. Prepared to have an open mind with the new console... expecting delivery this coming week. Hopefully the games will turn up this week too, but I will be keeping tabs on cheap titles being offered in the forums here :)

Nope :(

See:

And/or:

Prior to the latest Wii firmware upgrade (3.0), you could use the "Freeloader" utility:

But unfortunately use has now been halted:
