When you say that it has 6 months remaining on it's warranty, was this purchased brand new 6 months ago, or did you buy it 2nd hand and the shop gave you 12 months warranty, and there is 6 months remaining?

Yes, I understand that. If you read my question, I am actually asking whether you bought it BRAND NEW IN A SEALED BOX, or SECOND HAND?

not when I can go CEX and get £296 for it, which I guess for the sake of £4 I probably should do..

and yes it was bought new.
#9
I'll take it at asking price as long as we can agree a safe way to complete the transaction.

(I need it posted, can't pick it up)
Does anyone know of a courier service that will collect cash on delivery?
#11
HU5TLER was actually first with the full price offer, bod amrys, the OP hasn't answered him yet.

My bad . I'll wait in line.
#13
sorry I though HU5TLER was joking saying he wants the PS3 before he pays for it..

you can do a bank transfer, if you take cash into the bank it will clear immediately and can be posted today..

cheers

I doubt anyone is going to pay £300 into your bank account and just hope the console turns up (no offence intended).
I am very interested but like Hu5tler need a safe way to pay. Is there no one that offers a cash on delivery service?

This is normal when you've only joined the forum 15 days previous. Unless you give the prospective buyer the security of reputation received elsewhere - like eBay for example. A lot of people have been scammed on forums for purchases/payments that are never received.

£290 is the best I can do if you are passing into South Brum (near Airport) and you drop it off.

Otherwise £280 is the best since it will cost me about £15 in fuel to get you and back home (I know it's not your problem but i'm looking at the costs).

But you get the benefit of having the cash in your hands.

But like you said if CEX are offering £296 cash ....
#17
The likelihood of your local cex having that much cash though would be a bit of a gamble! They would more than likely just offer you an exchange voucher
#18
Well my offer of the £300 asking price + delivery stands if you can think of a safe way to complete the transaction.
#19
BTW a bit of advice should you decide to go the CEX route.

make sure you format the hard drive before you take it in. Otherwise they will format the hard drive which can take up to 4 hours + testing time on top.

As for cash availability you can always check with their head office before you go.

But my offers still stand.

I'm happy to pay postage on top. But your probably right - cex would save a lot of hassle - or put it on fleabay, should clear over £300 there even after paying their extortionate fees.

cheers for your help, have rung CEX and they will do cash at the weekend after lunch so I shall do that..

If anyone thinks of a safe and trustworthy way to complete and still want it pm me before the weekend, I am happy to still sell it..

I do have a good Ebay rep(I just hate theplace) and have also successfully bought sold and traded guitars and bits on guitarist forum.

cheers

#28

cheers
#29
