Hey everybody,

New to the site as a member. (But 100% Ebay feedback 103 score: Vilmad07)
I have an iPhone 4 for sale 16GB version. Locked to the 3 network.
Its brand new, and unused but is unboxed. Perfect condition, No scratches at all. Comes fully boxed with headphones, charger and cable all sealed.
Im selling because im not on the 3 network, im on 02, unfortunately as it would be perfect. Could be unlocked but im an impatient person and dont want to wait for an unlock (via jailbreaking)

Looking for about £425 including Special Next day postage (for the insurance and speed).
Tried Ebay but because of the fees had second thoughts.
Shipping/Payment:
RM Next Day - Included in asking price

Buyer welcome to collect at £6 cheaper

But Cash on Collection Only, if collecting

I'll offer £350 delivered post first basis.

Thats a big no. Way too low price.
What is post first? im guessing i post first, then you pay? Theres no way i'd be willing to do that on an item worth as much as this. 100% risk for me, 0% risk for you. I'm an honest seller, check my Ebay feedback.
Someone offered me £380 on ebay, when i had it listed but its definately worth what im asking.
#9
If no-one is willing to pay asking price or close, ill just keep it and wait for a jailbreak for 4.2.1 to be released.
No Silly offers please...
#10
I could offer 350 and get someone to pick it up. Do you have any paperwork with this phone, in the likely event it may get blocked later down the line
#11
it costs £15 to have it unlocked by 3,

let me know how it goes.

I dont have any paperwork, but it comes with the matching serial and IMEI box? But your offer is way too low anyway...

Really?!
I dont have a 3 sim card at the moment, but im guessing it needs to be activated. The phone has never been activated as its unused, will that make a difference?
Can i do it instore or do i have to call up?
Thanks for any info

Did you get this on contract? If so would you have the invoice of the contract which would state that the iPhone was part of a contract.

If you can offer a realistic offer then we can talk about that. But theres really no point if your offering £350

do let me know as soon as possible..
kind regards,
ameet

p.s. could you post pics with yur hukd id and the date beside it...
just wanted to ask how did u get to tht screen on the pic, if you didnt activate it...
do let me know a bit more about the phone aswell...
do reply soon.. :)

Edited By: ameet80uk on Dec 26, 2010 04:36: more info..

by the looks of the second pic i would say the phone is activated.
You need to call up the three network and ask them to unlock it. ONLY the person they gave the iPhone out to can unlock it, either you can pretend to be them or ask them to call in for you.

I would put it on teh bay if I were you

you have no documentation for the phone, so not have a 3 contract, cannot give information where the phone came from and have been registed here for less than 24 hours and won't post first - are you aware of just how many iPhone scams there are - from sellers ?

Caveat emptor comes to mind !

Will offer £380 if you provide proof of purchase, as the iphone 4 is not available on pay as you go on 3 this is deff tied into a contract, so who's contract is it and why do you have the phone?

will up my offer to £381..... ;)
as my fellow hukd mmbr has rightfully said....

Guys, I had someone offer me £380 on ebay when it was up, I want at least £400 because its worth that! im not stupid...
If i can get it unlocked its all irrelevant anyway.

Anyway here is the whole deal with the iPhone. I bought it from Ebay from a guy (who wasnt very good with phones i expect) He was advertising it as faulty even though it was just stuck in recovery after he messed up, Anyway i won it. I did ask him for a reciept but he didnt have one, he seemed a very stand up guy and i thought because the box and the phone matched up theres very little chance its stolen.
Anyway i managed to fix it (not the way i wanted as i wanted to restore it to the previous firmware in order to jailbreak it, then unlock it) but ended up having to restore to 4.2.1 so i have to wait for a jailbreak and unlock, or get 3 to unlock it till I can personally use it. Happy?

Also I am not a scammer, Is ebay feedback not good enough? http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=vilmad07&ftab=AllFeedback
I dont think its fair that just because im a new member i should be scrutinised...

Anyway its all irrelevant if i can unlock it :p

Fair argument, but as for the post first thing, I'm supposed to put myself at risk by sending the phone first? just so i can prove im not a scammer? Whats to say somebody isnt going to just recieve it and not pay? Ill get scammed myself and have no insurance on that deal
Seems like a stupid rule to be honest

Also why would i offer cash on collection if im trying to swindle somebody out of their money? just sayin. To prove im Vilmad07 on ebay, if someone tells me what to change my picture to on it - ill do it..
And ive sold iphones on ebay before so it proves im no iphone scammer

Ok so you purchased it form ebay as "faulty"? And you have fixed it? So you have paid less than £425 for it which is your asking price? If this is the case you cannot sell it on here for more than you paid on ebay. I have checked your ebay history and cannot find any info on you purchasing the iphone on ebay. I was interested but too many WHAT IFS for me. Good luck

Yep, Ive fixed it. I meantioned that in the previous post There was no real problem in the first place. Was just stuck in recovery. And i offered him an amount in the messages just higher than what numerous other people were offering so it wasnt through ebay. Dont normally do that but wanted to grab the bargain! :P

If people are weary i dont mind. Im leaning more to not selling and waiting it out anyway. Im off to buy a 3 sim and cut it down just so i can activate it and start using it now

Original listing if anyones curious

"THIS IS A BRAND NEW IPHONE 4 ON THE THREE NETWORK.

I BOUGHT IT AND DIDNT REALISE IT NEEDED A MICRO SIM SO PHONED MY PROVIDER AND
THEY GAVE ME A NEW DEAL WITH A NEW PHONE. SO I ADVERTISED THIS ON EBAY AND RESOLD.
DECIDED TO UPDATE TO IOS 4.2 VIA ITUNES BEFORE I POSTED AND SOMEHOW ITS STUCK IN RECOVERY MODE.
HAD TO REFUND THE WINNER BIDDER AND RELIST.
DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT AS IVE TRIED ALL YOU TUBE ETC RECOMMENDED FIXES AND NOTHING IS WORKING.
THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK IS LAPTOP WAS LOW ON BATTERY WHILST RESTORING AND WENT INTO SLEEP DURING UPDATE.
I'M GETTING AND ERROR WHEN TRYING TO CONNECT TO ITUNES EVERYTIME.
THE IPHONE IS PHYSICALLY BRAND NEW, SO MAYBE A GOOD BUY TO A CLEVERER PERSON THAN I.

NO RETURNS AS ITEM IS ADVERTISED AS FAULTY

ABOVE IS A PICTURE OF THE PHONE SPRINGBOARD FROM THE ORIGINAL ADVERT AND IVE ADDED A NEW ONE SHOWING THE SCREEN I NOW HAVE.

HAPPY BIDDING :) AND HAPPY CHRISTMAS

WILL POST RECORDED AS SOON AS PAYMENT CLEARS..

****No time wasters please, only bid if you intend to pay for it****

On 20-Dec-10 at 08:53:24 GMT, seller added the following information:

Please be aware THIS PHONE IS SOLD AS FAULTY and there is NO REFUND because of this. Also if you want the phone before Christmas I can post special delivery TODAY to be with you tomorrow. BUT THE OFFERS ARE ALL COMING IN THE SAME, SOMEONE HAS TO GO HIGHER, as I am happy to let the auction run........"

All fixed now

Fine, i just wont sell it then...

I dont think its fair that im scrutinised for FIXING it then needing what its worth. Im going to have to pay £500 for an unlocked one from apple (as im going to Giffgaff network)

Not exactly profiteering if its fixed. So you expect me to let it go for £350 even though it wasnt working when i bought it? just for my refrence

Your not being scrutinised i am just pointing you in the direction of the rules for FS/FT on HUKD.
