As above - seem to remember someone was selling one of these a while ago. Think I might be ready for one now! Please let me know how much you want or what you'd like to trade. Many thanks!

It's the digital cable for the gamecube - gives a better quality picture than the standard AV (red, yellow, white) cable.

Is it really worth the £30 or so they go for though!

i want one too! if there happens to be two. currently have one on my wii and gamecube games do look one heck of a lot better when compared with a standard av lead (not so fuzzy, writing readable etc). Its the only thing stopping me from selling my wii at the minute.

A word of warning you will also need a gamecube composite lead since the component cable doesnt come with red and white rca cables

it would appear that is correct:

Plus you need a model with the extra port dont you as the end models didnt have it did they? or was that just in america...

Yeah you need to make sure your Cube will even take a component lead. Most newer ones dont. Also, if its a pal cube and your playing pal games, there isnt that many that support 480P anyways. However if you have your Cube modded like i used to, and use NTSC games, its a fantastic buy, even at £30!

Yes, it does have an output for the component cable (it's the digital output, next to the av analogue output right? slightly bigger) . And yes, it is a modded cube. Finally got got one yesterday. Thanks for the input - good to hear someone who thinks the difference is worth it :)

ok, so this just means I need to use both cables at once, right? (I do have the regular composite lead). Thanks for the pointers

and dont forget to remember your B+Start i think it is upon loading a game, or else you'll notice no difference. You only have to do this once per title tho as it must remember your settings on the memory card or something after each one

Liddle - where did you end up getting one from? If you have it yet can you say whether its the same quality as playing a gamecube game on the wii? If it is then bye bye wii from me (specially since i got pikmin 2 the other day!)

Nope, haven't got one yet, but I'll let you know if/when I do! (Btw, I got Pikmin 2 as well and play it on the Wii, or rather my boy does!)

Sorry thought id read one of your earlier comments as saying you had found one! My mistake:oops:
Playing pikmin 1 at the moment myself.
I bought pikmin 2 in cex, was in there when a woman traded it in and bought it instantly! Great game, never got to complete it when i originally had it as sold my cube shortly afterwards...
