Nokia N95 8gb £220.00

Boxed unlocked and unbranded N95 8GB, included in the sale is a windscreen suction mount, car charger and all the usual Home charger, CD Rom, AV cable and headphones, also there is tomtom mobile and Garmin XT loaded onto the phone, both using the internal GPS.

I have had the phone 2 months, its unmarked and barely used, I'm possibly buying an iphone off a friend this afternoon, if all else fails i need to sell this to buy one anyway.

I'm looking for £220, that includes special insured delivery.
Shipping/Payment:
Cash on collection or will post when cheque clears.

can you take a photo with your username written on piece of paper next to it??
(it will help the sale as members will know the phone belongs to you)
do you have feedback anywhere else?
and do you accept paypal or bank transfer??
sorry for the questions... just thought that other members would want to know as well...

I know, screw AVF and there stupid rules anyway, they have already banned me from the classifieds for buying an iphone off a friend, how ridiculous is that.

it always bites when fleabay and payhell have there cut , always seems to work out between 10 and 12% of the final price meaning you will get around 200 quid , i once asked someone from ebay if he wore a mask , when he asked why i said its normal for robberys , he hung up on me

I am a powerseller on ebay , he would end up getting about £215 after both the fees. Why people have so much negativity against ebay is beyond me, they are an established site and have millions of viewers. You are paying for that, no way would you get as many hits anywhere else. Maybe there fees are a little steep for some but at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

i guess its because ebay look after themselfs first and customers afterward , a couple of examples

brought headlight for car , cost 49 quid delivered , paid instantly with paypal , few days later nothing so contact seller , he says its posted ,f ew days later i contact again , wheres me friggin headlight and if its posted then who with/tracking ? its on its way , ok i hang around ,nothing shows so i start a claim and get charged 15 quid to recover funds , i paid this for nothing , i was punished ,a dvd from holland , never arrived , that was 20 quid i was down , nephew brought scates from america , thats 60 down , a tv sold , chap didnt show , he got the second neg rep out of 2 and yet hes still a member !!! , someone wins and doesnt pay you now cant leave neg rep to say there not real buyers , spotted fraudulant selling of expensive elec goods from at least 100 accounts and contacted ebay to say the same , the result , ******all action to stop them , cant now even contact sellers who have bid on the same to warn them , brought a box set of buffy , the account had been stolen from someone in scotland by someone from hong kong , id paid , ebay closed the auction which ment no proof , i then showed the only person in the uk with the name fang wang ( honest ) and proved it wasnt him who had recieved the funds , only got a refund after contacting the credit card company , sold a car for my father , the ( person) didnt show , messed us about , sold another car , same again , thought right lets take one of these ( people ) to court and recover funds ( a motorbike sold and zero contact afterwards from winner ) ebay said happy to give all details with a court case started and a number to prove the same , of course i cant turn up at court and say id like to sue a members kickname off ebay , circular arugment in that i cant start off the case without ebay giving me details that they wont release without the case already in place ,,,,,,, theres more even ,,,,,,,

ok perhaps long winded , let me just say if anyone has a feedback of 100 then they can normally tell you between 3 and 5 horror stories , as a % of total sales this is a massive amount of transactions , we shouldnt have to tollerate this and jump through hoops , myself i have feedback of 300 and 5.0/5.0 across the detailed rating , i treat people how i would hope to be treated and yet as i sit and type its now day 5 without any contact from another powerseller about the number plate ive brought and paid for http://*************.co.uk/wicked_custom_plates

its worth noting across the globe ebay is always miles behind any other competative auction site and usually beaten into 3rd place , if anyone has a spare 200 million then for the love of god please start another auction site up . come on craigs list

Ebay has been great for me. Have had over 70 transactions. As for your "horror" stories.

For the first one, you should have initiated a paypal chargeback where there is no £15 fee.

If something doesnt arrive and you initiate a paypal chargeback, then you always win where there is no tracking. This is heavily buyer biased and sometimes paypal don't accept tracking. Thats why I nearly always use Royal Mail Special Delivery for expensive items.

If someone doesnt pay, then you simply initiate an unpaid dispute and if the person hasnt paid where paypal is an option, then they get a strike and you relist for free. Also put a filter on your accepted buyers list which declines people with 2 or more unpaid item strikes.

As for closed auctions, if you paid then paypal should hold a record. A simply paypal dispute and since the auction was closed, you win everytime.

Basically, like with everything else, read up on the correct procedures before using ebay & paypal instead of complaining so much. There are problems with ebay, but you've mentioned none of them. You've made rookie errors which you should learn from.

i recently sold a phone for £210 and was charged 7.5% or £15.75 in ebay and paypal fees.I tried selling on AV but no response @ £220 would prob have taken £200.

how do u get TomTom or Garmin on one of these

does it work with the internal GPS or do i need an external? will it cost me for voice guided like nokia maps does?

this is insulting , i follow ebays procedure to the letter and arnt answerable to the fraud , miss-selling and poor service offered by members on the site , how you can feel i bring this upon myself is beyond me , if you had walked a mile in my shoes your opinion would be very very different thats for sure , going on what you have said as i hit day 6 into 7 of zero contact from the person whom i have ordered and paid for a number plate its clearly my own fault theres been no contact as i must fail to understand procedure , doh! going on your argument its fine that we get ripped off as its ``rookie errors which you should learn from `` , thanks for the help and concern

Well you didnt do any of what I said. So you didn't follow the correct procedures. Otherwise you wouldnt have had to pay a £15 fee. You wouldnt have lost money on unpaid items. There have been 4 or 5 cases where Ive had to give negative feedback due to non delivery, damaged goods or unpaid items. Never have I been left out of pocket. You clearly arent doing things correctly and blame ebay unnecessarily.

There are certain situations where ebay and paypal are annoying, but none of the situations you described are them.
