As title.......

Base only. HDD failed and PSU. Fitted new 400W PSU and that's how it sits at the moment.

Pentium CPu but not sure of speed and it all works but i just cannot fit a new drive and then spend money on new Windows Disk so being sold for spares or repair although with a new HDD it works and the case has a C.O.A on the side for Windows XP home.

Here is the website link with the info.....

Information and Instructions - IMEDIA 1559 - PB34316701 - iMedia - platform_honeymoon_imedia - Desktop

The motherboard is this.... http://common.packardbell.com/itemnr/spec_Rio/rio.JPG

Rio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH) Motherboard
Name: Rio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH)
Type: µATX motherboard
Manufacturer: GigaByte
24-01-2006

I will post some shots later but its good little unit and fairly fast...............just needs hard drive.

Looking for £70 plus £10 postage.

I live in Edinburgh so if you want to pick up that would be even better.

Sorry to be so vague but if you have any questions I will try and answer them.

Payment will be by BT or cash COD

Just the base unit only .....No monitor keyboard or mouse...

How do you know its the hard drive?

Hi,

After the PSU died we got another PSU and the drive would not start...............we took the unit to a computer shop and the guy showed us that it was dead (the hard drive not the base itself....) on another pc then we got shown a few other test results on his machine or 1 of them in the shop............and it said hard failure and numbers.................I'm not a tech so that's what i seen and was told.

The guy said it would be about £70 for a new hard drive and about £100 for Windows genuine disk and then fitting..................way to much.

Instead we purchased a new Acer................

So this 1 is working but needs a new drive and we already paid for the new PSU. That's it.

I will post pics if needed..............

Hope that helps....

Sounds like the guy in the computer shops crap at what he does.

£170 err you could buy a new low end machine for that.

I don't know why or how you could kill the psu and hard drive only, I'm guessing its not the only fault. I would take it off you if you posted first. But not for the price you offering.

I am in Brighton lol, that rules out collecting sadly, have you done anything too it since you bought it, ie upgraded the ram etc or is it just as it was purchased, trying to define the specs here ?

Hi,

The price I would move a little but posting 1st I would not.

I have 6+ comments on previous deals so feedback and that can be checked.

I would drop to say £70 inclusive of 2nd class delivery.............the case is not light and I would have to get a box to fit it and make secure.

That any good?

I would need further information. As I would need a new hard drive. It's not worth 70 quid.

Please advise of further information. You can buy full working systems for that (not price comparing but I have built a lot of machines in my time.)

I'm not sure what you want Adam...................I can take more pics if you want but i really don't think a system can be built for £70....sorry. even at £70 with another drive it would come in about £110 say........then a disk...or if you have a disk already (We never had a disk and the system windows was on the HDD that died ) it would cost nothing more.

Let me know what I ave to look for and tell you..................I could maybe take a little video using the phone if that's any good. Sorry I'm not sure what else to tell you.

Would you be interested in selling the Motherboard with ram & cpu only? Would be easier to post & you could sell the dvd burner psu & other bits separate.

Just undo the case unplug all attached wires & take the motherboard out :)
I could offer £35 for the motherboard cpu & ram.
You then have the case, power supply, dvd burner, card reader, graphics card & anything else to sell.
This video may help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nAfsrqsXGU&feature=channel

I understand if this is a bit awkward for you so no worries if you don't want to split
#19
I'd be interested if you are splitting also.

Could offer £40 for the board, cpu and RAM.

Hi,

Sorry....I am not that confident stripping down the bits in case I break something........and I dont have anything to send the goods in if I did split. Sorry.

Am going to drop the price for the whole lot because that would be easier fro me and no mistakes.

£65.00 inclusive the whole lot sent at the cheapest postal rate. I would get an empty box for the case that fits.

How about that..................£65.00 all in?:)

If the sale of this pc falls through then you could possibly donate it to a charity?
This is one I found based in Edinburgh.

"Pass IT On is a Scottish charity that accepts donations
of computers and IT equipment, which are then adapted
and given to people with disabilities in the Edinburgh
area, usually free of charge. In particular, they are look-
ing for any PCs (Pentium 700 or faster), CD-Rom drives,
sound cards, speakers), ink/laser printers and licensed
software. Contact Martha or Sandy: 476 1645 or
[email protected]">[email protected] "

I can't personally vouch for this company as I just found them on google but I know this is one of many other similar organisations that repair and then donate pcs to various places.

And, Sorry, but I wouldn't send 1st.....Sorry.

It worked fine and I only got a new 1 because of the price of the new hard drive, windows disk and fitting labour and vat for this box was to much. I'm sorry.

The whole lot delivered would be £65.00.

I would be using at least £15 for postage and packaging........leaving £50 to me. That would some money back on the outlay I had to get a brand new PC.

I would get a proper cardboard case from the local pc shop to make sure of no damage and if poss insurance included, if I can.

How does that sound? :)

The old drive was taken apart in front of us in the shop to make sure it couldn't be used again by the shop guy.

I wouldn't send 1st Adam...sorry. And £45 for the lot is to low.......sorry.
