So, recently built this, but prefer to use my Macbook Pro, and am saving for a new camera, so:

Processor: Q6600 Quad Core 2.4 Ghz
RAM: 2GB
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8600GT
DVD: Pioneer DVR-106D DVD-RW
HD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB 7200rpm (WD3200AAJS)

Windows Experience Index (The max score is 5.9):

Processor: 5.9
Memory (RAM): 4.8
Graphics: 4.9
Gaming Graphics: 5.3
Primary Hard Disk: 5.6

Seriously, it's a beast. The processor alone is worth well over £100.

I'm looking for £450.
Shipping/Payment:
Collection probably best. I'm in Newcastle.

its a desktop not a laptop right?

Desktop, yes. I'll get some photos tonight, but it's essentially in a black and white gaming tower case.

is Vista Ultimate a full retail with COA ?
#4
What motherboard is this ?

The components you have listed have a max used value of about £250 (exlcuding MB,case and Vista).

lol i got this config minus the 8600gt (which is a tenner at pc world if you find stock) and a 19" widescreen monitor for £290. £450 is overkill.

You're being generous :)

My evaluation so far would be a max £200 (as they're secondhand):

Processor: Q6600 Quad Core 2.4 Ghz = £120 (Edit: increased by £20)
RAM: 2GB = £10-15 (make & model required)
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8600GT = £25-30
DVD: Pioneer DVR-106D DVD-RW = £8-10
HD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB 7200rpm (WD3200AAJS) = £25

deathtrap3000, I think it's unfair to compare to anything if it's out of stock.

tmj2007, as you're new to selling here & just so that you're aware - according to the forum rules you're well within your rights to report any post that you feel is unnecessary/detrimental to your sale (this includesmy post btw) - the mods will delete any they deem to be so. Think about it, you've said your CPU alone is worth well over £100, ok ... let's say it's worth £120 .. ok ?

So you're expecting £330 for...

8600GT (~£40 ... ignore the £10 PCW rubbish, it's more or less a myth)
320gb Harddisk (umm £30 tops?)
2gb Ram (£15)
Motherboard (£xx?)
Case (£xx?)

Unless you have some platinum case and a top end motherboard this is unrealisitc.

Still, you've used a good choice of components - so long as your motherboard isn't a stinker.

Might be worth adding that you have the receipts and the hardware is within warranty?
