Pioneer HTP-GS1 5.1 DTS Surround sound system
Fantastic amp and speaker package with Xbox Styling
http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/archive/HTP-GS1/index.html

This is like new and boxed with all cables and includes the easy setup microphone. Been lovingly used as my main amp for the last 2 years.

It has both 2 optical inputs and 1 Coax input. (No HDMI though)

I remember buying this new on Play.com a few years back for £129.99. Pretty difficult to get hold of now but I agree it's a great piece of kit. It's probably the price that's putting potential buyers off though.

Okay I might be interested in this. I'm a novice in the how to connect these things up, how would I get the best use out of this, I also have a ps3 and skyHD. By connecting this to the TV or the PS3?

I use it by turning the sound on the tv down to zero and connecting everything to the amp and let it produce the audio. the manual is really good and explains everything pretty well though, i'm sure if you do go for it you'll be fine. If the OP doesn't have still have the manual I could scan mine and email it to you.

I've noticed this has been discussed in AV Forums as far back 2006. So has been out for a very long time.
OP are open to offers?

Like andy247 I also have this good piece of kit
Just connect your ps3 and sky HD via optical cable (have mine set this way) as the unit has two optical outputs and if you need more outputs just buy an optical splitter.
With the kit you also get a little microphone which you place in the middle of your room once you set the kit up for the first time and it determines the sound levels and stuff.

Yep open to offers on this too. It really is a great first sounds system and as people have said you simply connect sky and the PS3 up via optical to enjoy surround and then turn down the sound on the TV. It has been out for a while but is still a great system and if you like bass then you will not be disappointed.

Setup is a doddle you cannot go wrong as all the wires are colour coded and the audio setup is simply stick a mic in the centre of the room and it auto setups for your room.

I had Sky HD, PS3, WDTV and Xbox 360 all connected to this via an optical splitter and worked perfectly.

I have only replaced as I have got a new BluRay Home theatre system so I don't have to use the PS3 to watch movies.

Any other question please ask away

I'm seriously interested, but to be honest your price is rather high. There's been a few going on ebay over the last few months for as low as under £70. Granted yours is meant to be in excellent condition, I'll make an offer of £85 including delivery by any parcelmonkey type courier.
#12
This will be around £18 to courier and a silly amount if you are in the highlands, which would mean I would get just over £65 for the system which is way too low. The absolute lowest I can go on this is £95 inc delivery.(as long as you are not from the highlands :) )

Weighs around 12KG.

I'm sure you can find a courier a lot cheaper than £18. The discounters like the mentioned parcels2go etc can normally deliver for around £8 for next day delivery.

Is there a Aux audio connection on this?, i have a ps3, sky hd box but i also play movies through my laptop on my tv via hdmi, so could i use the surround sound with the laptop?
#15
Yes it has an aux fitting, i have TV, 360, Blu-ray and can connect my ipod to it as well.
I bought mine off av forums for £100 delivered but could have sold on ebay for £180.

I'm still happy to buy at £85. Can you pm me your Paypal email, I can pay via ppg. .

Received today.

Just finished setting it up, initial feelings a bit disappointing. Very little bass and hardly any sound from rear speakers. Will play around with settings.

Just to update, after running the accompanying mic sensor, the sound has improved.
