I tried looking for them and they seem pretty rare, only found one on ebay and that was with a 360
thats what i mean the alternative is to buy it 4m usa which i have but i dont want 2 get a transformer and pay £45 for delivery and it all adds up 2 £115
Yeah but when they are on eBay they sell for £200+

(Obviously the buyers didn't know about at the time)
hmm so i might buy it 4m usa but its 2nd hand with delivery and a transformer its £115 what u fink lads?
Sounds like a deal to me! u tried getting the postage down? maybe a cheaper but longer option?
thats the cheapest option $90 usd, probably take between 4-6 weeks!

lol! is no one selling?!
try avforums, i bought mine when they were on play for £150, came with the 2 free games as well. :)
i have not having any luck therE!
then it would seem is your only option?
think im goin 2 stick to the 2nd hand one and pay for it!
so, if you want 5.1 digital sound out of an xbox and don't want a full size receiver, is this one of the only options, along with the logitech z-5500s ?
i dont know but to be honest an item which retails here at £200-play and amazon sell for £300
and a 2nd hand one with my delivery and a stepdown adapter for £115 is not bad i think
i might get one of these

can we get cheaper postage
ERM the cheapest option is 90 usd!
if u guys have a us address then get a mate 2 send em"
i own one of these but i would never sell it i would deffinetly recommened it but NEVER sell it i dont think any one in there right mind would sell an amazing sound system like this.
have you confirmed the US model requires a step down transformer ?
yes it does
not sure how many voltage i think its 50 or 200
#24 are not stocking this system anymore as people on the xbox forums are trying to locate stock in the UK.

Wonder if Pioneer have stopped producing this great system or have retailers simply cannot keep up with demand as it seems a very popular system
best bet is to get it from usa
lots of us ebayers have them and try getting postage reduced but it takes between 4-6 weeks
is this really an amazing system?
is this really an amazing system?

Cannot fault the system at all and I am using the 2 optical connections for my DVD player and xbox 360, the only downside is that my 360 is currently at the ms repair centre so not used the pioneer system in the last week
oh right is this hd ready?
theres one on now, but its £30 over your budget
oh right is this hd ready?

oh right is this hd ready?

I'm curious how an audio system could be HD ready...

It's a good system, speakers are relatively discrete and the Xbox integration is handy as it means one control can be used for both. Only complaint is the same as most people, the bass is a bit heavy but it can be configured as you want. Really makes games a lot better although it's hard to find times when the noise isn't going to bother others ;)

Audio systems are classed as HD ready if they have an optical output/input I think.
I haven't come across that definition - HD ready refers to a device which can display a minimum 720p (1280x720) signal and supports HDCP.

what rayman said is what i meant as in if its compatible to be used with hd tvs
there is someone on sells it for $159 and $90 usd ur looking at £126 plus possibility of VAT and then a step up so all in im guessing £170
That depends entirely on the HD TV - the HD part refers to the video only, nothing to do with audio which is entirely separate. In most cases you would be better driving the Pioneer directly from the output of whatever device you are using with the TV (Xbox, Sky box etc.). It does have both analogue and optical inputs so it should be able to take audio direct from a TV (which is usually analogue)

Something you might not appreciate from pictures is that this package is pretty big so it's no surprise shipping is pricy.

cool mate!`
