you need to post pictures of the item with your HUKD name by it and the date
#2
I think it would have been better to take a picture of the actual console and games etc with your HUKD username as well as the date as that could be an empty box lol  plus it would be helpful if you provided details of an account like eBay with feedback as this might help it sell better (since you have no feedback on here) 
#3
Ebay username doesnt really mean much, as long as he posts first I dont see an issue.
#4
Sorry guys, first post and all that! Wanted to get it done quick, but will unbox and take full photo later on (off to bed now). My E-bay account is cvtrwm too and I have a lot of feedback on there as a seller. Decided that I can't live with their fees and bad attitude anymore, so thought I'd give it a go on here.
#5
might wana turn coinsole on and show no yellow light also
#6
whats your best price? and would you post first?
#7
Best price is £150 posted and I'd want payment by Paypal before I sent.

Before going any further with any deals.

Could you upload the photos requested please.

im intrested in it but would have a problem paying you the £150 up front due to lack of feedback..would you consider partial payment?
#11
Paypal offer a full refund service if there's a problem of any kind. Do an E-bay search for cvtrwm and you'll find I have 2700+ feedback. I will book the parcel with HDNL imedately after payment is received and e-mail you the tracking number.
#12
interested in this, any receipt for warranty?

would you consider posting first,
#13
Receipt is in the box, but it's 2 years old. As for posting in advance, please see my post above.
#14
id offer asking but i would want posting first as well

Am I missing something here? If you pay by Paypal and there's the slightest problem, Paypal give you a no-questions-asked refund. I'm not going to risk sending a PS3 out to a random person on any forum without payment. If that's the way it works on here, then I guess I'll have to remove the post.

To reassure anyone thinking of buying this and paying up front, you will get a tracking number as soon as you pay, you will have my home phone number and address and Paypal's guarantee of a no-quibble refund.
#17
ok im out then - thanks. Although not written in stone it's common practice on here for new members to post to established members i did when i were new.

with respect as i am still new to selling/buying you have to earn your stripes on here so to speak

i have paid £300 + upfront for an item without seeing it because the seller had previously very good feedback

Amen to that.

Yes but the same argument can apply to you. You are a "random" (as you put) new seller to this site so people with substantial feedback have a higher ground than you.

However, please don't post first to users unless they have a decent amount of feedback and aren't just kids clothes sellers lol.

Good luck selling.

Cheers for the comments and I do understand where you're all coming from. I am new to selling on HUKD, but all the safety measures are with the buyer.

The item would have to be tracked through a reputable company or Paypal would refund.

The item would have to arrive and be as described or Paypal would refund.

If I send an item out without payment, then I haven't got a leg to stand on. As I said, I've got 2700+ feedback on E-bay and have been selling on there virtually since it started. Whenever there was a problem with a parcel (which was rare), I've refunded the buyer concerned.

To reitterate; "To reassure anyone thinking of buying this and paying up front, you will get a tracking number as soon as you pay, you will have my home phone number and address and Paypal's guarantee of a no-quibble refund."

Paypal do not cover anything bought out of eBay it's in their T&C's
I found out the hard way
#22
That's simply not true. I got a refund for an item that didn't arrive that wasn't bought on E-bay. The seller couldn't provide a tracking number, so the refund was given after 7 days.

At the end of the day, if you're buying something make sure you have a UK landline number to contact and the address of the seller. If you don't receive the item and you paid by Paypal, chase it up. If you get no joy from them (which has never happened to me) contact the Police.

For my part, I'd prefer a local buyer or someone who's prepared to travel half way to meet me. Anyone in the Midlands or South Yorkshire who wants to do this, let me know and you'll have a mint condition, well looked after, 2 year old PS3 for £150.

Your forgetting one major thing.

Your arguments about paypal support, telephone numbers, tracking ID, ebay feedback and contacting the police all get outweighed by the fact some users interested in this item have over 50 feedback from high valued trades/sales/purchases.

At the end of the day both the quality and quantity of feedback outweigh any factors you propose. It's basically no feedback warrants sending first to trusted members. If you can't adjust to this then I doubt your going to sell the item here. Your paranoia is hindering your sale lol.

Then I'll wait for a buyer in the Midlands/South Yorkshire who I can meet and pay cash. I'd rather take it to Blockbusters/CEX/Game and get £100-£120 in my hand for it. You're reading common sense as paranoia. I've sold high value items on E-bay for the last 5 years and have never had an unresolved issue.

Let me turn the tables on you... Did you send out the XBox 360 you sold on E-bay without receiving payment? If not, why not? The buyer had a feedback rating of 22 and most of those were high value items.

Ebay runs on completely different mechanisms. The extortionate fees cover protection and make the buyer pay for the item first with no questions asked. However, as many people prefer receiving fees via options that incur no fees (i.e. bank transfer or paypal gift) then there is much less or no protection. This is where the feedback input comes in as this site is essentially run through trust via previous trades. If you haven't done any transactions on here then you have no proof of previous transactions (many don't give a damn about outside feedback).

So unless you want to deal in person no one in there right mind is going to send you the money first if they have substantially higher feedback.

The only reason why I sold the Xbox on Ebay was that I knew it would sell within 24 hours and I needed the money asap. I was willing to pay the fees for that specific case.

EDIT: I hope I don't come across as slating you as Im not intending to. I believe you about your ebay feedback and you seem legitimate. However, just to counter the argument I've offered you alternative options :) If you'd accept GAME/Blockbuster's prices then why not put it on the bay as you'd get much more than those retailers even after the fees. Good luck with your sale.

Dan

It's an 'unofficial' guideline on this forum, you, of course, don't have to follow it but if you don't want to send first to a trusted member then a face to face sale appears to be your only option :)
