Or collection is available in Norwich for £180.

I am discussing another 60Gb PS3 console in another thread..

I have also made a conditional offer to a trader on another classifieds forum-based site to view a 60Gb console early next week. If the viewing goes well I will be purchasing it at that time.

However, the asking price for your console is considerably cheaper, so would you indulge me with responding to a few queries (I asked in the other thread too)?

If this console is not for me, then your replies may assist other interested parties.

---
Is your PS3 a European (UK) 60Gb console?

Did you purchase it from new (rather than buying pre-owned, or it being a refurbished exchange from Sony)?

Please can you confirm the original purchase date & the retailer you purchased it from?

Is it completely unmarked (scratch-free, and so on), and do all the external ports (4 x USB, memory cards, HDMI, RGB, Ethernet) & Wireless interface function correctly?

(Almost) Finally, what is the usual orientation that you store/use your console? Do you stand it on end so you have to put in discs vertically, or do you stand it on the 'base' so discs are inserted horizontally?

[EDIT]: Do you have the original box/packaging &/or instruction manuals?
---

Thank you for your time responding.

Any further photographs you can supply to demonstrate the condition of the console would be gratefully received too.

Please can you confirm the original purchase date & the retailer you purchased it from? GAME but can't remember the date, sorry.

Thanks Nick_, very helpful.

Could you offer further photographs at all?

Also, are you likely to have bought the console from GAME in 2007, first half of 2008, or the latter half of 2008? By 2009 I would think that no stocks remained anywhere... but I may well be wrong.

Thanks again.

Sorry... one more question: Is this unit covered by the "Continuous Play" scheme at all?

I'll take some pics now.

I definitely bought the ps3 in 2007, and its not covered by Continuous Play.

OK, thanks again.

As I said, depending on the condition (and the price of an insured courier, as I am in Kent), if the console is not for me, hopefully the answers to my queries will be helpful for another member.

Thanks for the photos.

The ImageShack site is blocked at my place of work so I will look later this evening (possibly this weekend) & come back to you.

lewt: What makes you think I don't want two 60Gb PS3 consoles? Thanks for your concern though.

Nick_: My first time online since my last post (above); I'll look at the photos now & come back to you in a few minutes.

Hi,

On image "img0536be.jpg" (the image with your HotUKDeals User Id on paper next to the console) I can see at least two definite marks on the top of the console's case & possibly more (but these may be reflections of items in your room). Image "img0538vu.jpg" doesn't seem to show these marks though; so they all may be reflections.

Image "img0540iq.jpg" seems to have a vertical mark beneath the mirrored surface that is reflecting your hand. The mark is almost in line with your knuckles.

To reassure me that this console is "in great condition on the outside" would you be able to take further photographs to demonstrate that the marks I mentioned are not present?

Thanks for your comments either way.

If you are going to quote me just copy the text rather than re-typing it! :)
