Which PSP model is this?

The original series (the "Phat & Heavy") with model reference "PSP-1000" ("PSP-1003" for the UK).
The first revision (the "Slim & Lite"); "PSP-2000" ("PSP-2003" for the UK).

i am presuming this is not the most recent revision (the "Slim & Brite"), "PSP-3000" ("PSP-3003").

Thanks for your clarification about which model & which country the PSP was initially manufactured for.

BFN,

fp.

EDIT: Sorry... just seen the image you provided.

A Piano Black "Phat & Heavy" (PSP-1000) model.

Is this a UK console?

A PSP-1000 i believe is a Japanese console, and apart from having a different (and a lot say superior) screen, there is absolutely no difference, as all games and UMD's are region free, and has English menus

Although now, after looking at picture, that appears to say 1003 to my young eyes

Only the very first batch of Japanese PSP consoles had the screen manufactured by Sharp. The (cheaper, some would say, not as good) Samsung component was used thereafter & in all other PSP-1000 series models across all other territories.

Another difference is that the function of the [X] & [O] buttons are reversed.

Yes, the box says that... but what does the sticker on the bottom edge of the console &/or the text printed beneath the battery say?
