My brother is emigrating to Australia in January and is selling off his electricals, one of which is an Acer Aspire 3100 laptop.
Now let's start with the problems.
1. There are 2 minor scratches on the laptop lid. I think car wax or silver touch up paint may be able to resolve this. I will look into this if i can and keep you updated.
2. There are no recovery disks and no hidden EISA recovery partition. However, an image has been made (better than the original) with Acronis Tru Image software. The image is stored on the Hard Drive and disks have been made.
The laptop has been formatted to the following spec this week:
*Processor (CPU): AMD Sempron 3600 2GHz
*Memory (RAM): 1GB (1*1024MB) DDR2 533MHz
*Hard Drive: 80GB SATA
*Optical Drive: DVD Super Multi / Double Layer
*Display: 15.4" Crystalbrite TFT 1280 x 800
*Graphics: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 256MB Shared
*Interfaces: 5-in-1 card Reader, 3xUSB, VGA, PCMCIA
*Connectivity: 802.11b/g Wireless, Ethernet, 56k modem
*Multimedia: Built in stereo speakers and microphone
*Battery: 6-cell battery pack - 2 hours battery life
*Weight: 2.82 kg
*Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate
*Microsoft Office 2007 Proffessional Edition
*Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection (CS4)
*Eset Nod32 Business Antivirus Edition (6 months or more left on license)
*Acronis Tru Image
*Roxio Easy Media Creator Package (latest version)
Given, the minor issues, i am happy to let this one go for £250 or vno. And there's not too much room to barter.
It comes in the cardboard box and has the original adapter.
I am nipping out now but will post/link a few pictures.
