For sale is my galaxy s3......long story short, i went swimming and left it in my pocket.
Tried the old rice trick and also a few other things.....it boots up and i've got it to my main screen but the touch screen isn't working and neither is the buttons at the bottom which light up. It still vibrates. I have factory reset from using the buttons on the phone to get the menu up.
The actual condition of the phone itself is generally OK, there are a few scratches on the screen and marks round the edges etc, its never had a case and has been bumped a couple of times but was generally fully working order before the swimming incident.
As you will see from the pics, it still loads to samsung start screen, the volume buttons work, the power buttons work and the screen rotation still works, its just the touch screen. The screen itself is also a bit tentative at times, it will go bright and dim.
It is bought as seen, it could be a really easy fix for someone knowing what they are doing but i can't guarantee that.
The back cover also has a number of letters missing from the samsung bit at the back but thats probably the least of the problems :)
Phone does now not switch on at all even on battery or when charger plugged in
Phone is working, battery life is really low so a new battery needed but touchscreen is working now and have got the phone onto main screens using touchscreen, just the 2 buttons at the bottom don't light up to work as previously mentioned.
