I was about to stick this up on ebay but I thought maybe here might be best first:
For sale is a used Renault Tunepoint. This device plugs into the back of "updatelist" or "tunerlist" standard Renault headunits (car radios) to the CD changer port. You then fit the box in your glovebox (loose or screwed to the side) and can connect your Ipod, USB memory stick or aux in device. This is a direct connection and does not use radio waves etc. but the true signal output from your ipod.
You can fully control your ipod using your steering wheel controls/headunit and the playlists on your Ipod map to the numbers on your headunit. Number 1-5 maps to your first 5 playlist and number 6 does all your music as random etc. (instructions included). Your ipod will also be charged. If unsure, please ask/check whether your ipod is fully supported by this device.
You can use a large memory stick (usb) to also play music from.
This is similar to devices made by companies like Denison/connects2 but is officially sold by Renault.
I have sold the car now and my new Laguna has a completely different stereo arrangement. I will be uploading photographs shortly. I believe Renault charge £170 + fitting for this. I am offering it at £55 and it is very easy to fit yourself (I will even include some DIY stereo keys). I can explain how it is supposed to be fitted to anybody through this thread if required, but it is pretty self-explanatory.
To note, this is the type of unit that comes as standard now in many Renaults. http://www.renault.co.uk/ownerservices/accessories/tunepoint.aspx
Postage included in the price (I will see whether it will be special delivery or first class recorded). It might be difficult for me to post before Saturday the 20th but hopefully it should not be an issue, work load depending.
