Road Bike Capable of Touring: Cheap!

Hi there, I'm looking for a bike for a couple hundred bob that might get me from Glasgow to London over Easter break.

While I've gone touring before across Canada, it was on a ten speed racer, and I'm looking to up my game a little to something modern. If anyone also has something in their garage for sale, I'm willing to consider it

Many Thanks

John

Hi John,

I have a Bianchi [quite esoteric I'm told] road bike I'm considering selling. It would be more than a couple of hundred [about 350] though to be honest as it cost about about a grand brand new (I'm the second owner) and its in fantastic condition. Before I bother you with details (read, I would have to go and find them out as I have a rubbish memnry!), how tall are you? If you arent massively either side of average it should fit (I'm near as damn it 6' whilst the previous owner was 5'10".

anyway, let me know if its at all of interest and if so I can get you pictures, specs etc etc.

cheers,
dan

Send me photos et al.

Cheers. john

Mod edit. Personal details removed, all negotiations must take place in this thread.

Hi John

I'll take some pics at the weekend if that's ok for you and post them here for you to get an idea? Actually, I will just double check that I dont have a pic of it somewhere already!

cheers,
dan

hey john, here she is; http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/2720/bianchibike.jpg

n.b. it doesn't have those time-trial wheels on - normal *road* wheels on there now. :-)
