This is on 3 but can be unlocked by the network for a small fee.

I can provide a 3 PAYG sim card (at your request).

In good condition with no marks or scratches to the screen. There are some marks to the housing but nothing drastic or off-putting.

I have replaced the following items (with new ones):

- back cover
- battery
- charger
- usb data cable

I can install Android 2.2 if you wish.

Hi Shuwaz,

I am happy to offer £60 - Cannot pay until the 15th.

Have sent you a PM with my postcode details so you can confirm postage costs.

Thanks

ukscorpion.

cheers,

will get a price for you today and update the post.

***Postage Update***

1st Class Rec. (1-3 days delivery time, trackable, signed for, not covered against loss/damage): £4.05.
2nd Class Rec. (as above but 2-5 days delivery time): £3.20.
Special Delivery (guaranteed next day, trackable, signed for, fully covered against loss/damage): £5.95.

I could reduce the postage costs further by either:

1) Using 2nd Class Standard (least recommended option - is it really worth it to save a few quid? oO)
2) Using minimal packaging (e.g. just the phone/charger/cable in bubble wrap and a plastic mailing bag).

Of course there are various degress of risk with each method below Special Delivery. :|
I know what I would choose but hey, your decision, your risk. :)

OK decision time again. I can either do:

1) £65 posted via RMSD but no Froyo (Android 2.2);
2) £65.95 posted via RMSD with Froyo (Android 2.2).

Only reason I am saying is cos I am just flat out busy and not sure if I will be able to get it sorted in time. :(

Hi Shuwaz,
I appreciate where you are coming from, however I have a maximum of £65 to spend on a phone. As your main post says "delivery is on the house" really it should be £60 (as this was the amount you reduced the phone to) including delivery.
I accept that you will have to do a bit of work to get Froyo 2.2 on the phone and I would like it posted with some protection - that is why I offered £65 including RMSD. I am not prepared to negotiate higher than £65 all in - up to you if you accept this or not.
Happy to wait a week or so for the phone if that gives you time to do the 2.2 upgrade.

Due to an error in the comments (I edited comment #2 and #5 but accidentally deleted vital information) the price was reduced but postage was no longer free. However, thats not your fault so gimme a timeout (just on my way out) and I'll get back to you shortly with an answer.

Thanks for the update - understand about the comments! I am not being difficult - just have a maximum budget! As I said, if you need longer to do the 2.2 upgrade I have no problem with that. Appreciate we are splitting hairs over 95p!!

LOL @ that. I was just trying to worm my way out of the froyo update cos I know I'm gonna need longer than I thought to do the update. I could also do an unlock but it's tricky and risky (please dont ask).

Anyway, enough blabbing. Deal at £65 delivered via Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Just two queries:

1) Assuming I got froyo sorted tonight and you're paying on friday would you want the phone sending on friday or monday morning? I dont think it will get there any quicker (if memory serves me correctly it needs to go out latest thursday to get there for friday otherwise it would arrive tuesday).

2) How would you be paying? BT or PPG?
#15
Thanks Shuwaz!
1. Happy for the phone to be posted on Monday.
2. Normally pay by PPG - However have no funds in the account so guess can do BT - Will need to check with the wife as she does online banking and I have no idea how it works! Which is better for you?
#16
BT is much better for me.
Paypal is giving me a lot of hassle lately. Sold stuff through ebay over the past week weeks but paypal took £50 in error. They still havent paid me back (but said it should be by tomorrow)!

I can provide full name, address, contact details (think I sent my email and mobile to you already) and msn/skype/google/passport/driving license (LOL - joke of course about the latter).
#17
Great. I assume that I can do BT through our online banking?

Taking to PM

Yeah, easy peasy (I use it all of the time).
#19
Update:

OK I managed to get Froyo on. However, if you want to remove the 2GB micro SD card and add a bigger/smaller one it has to be done via a particular process (i.e. it is not a simple case of remove and insert anymore).

Is this ok with you? I can alway revert to the stock or custom Android 2.1 (custom seems to run pretty quick!).

My mate said dont touch 2.3, it still isnt stable (tested on his). Therefore, gonna avoid it for now.

Looks like another member is interested now anyway.
#24
OK thanks for teh info

looks like I am going to be out of this - unlocking would be the deal breaker for me - does not look cheap - approx £15 from what i can gather

£13 - £15 from reputable comapnies I have used in the past to get the unlock code!

Unless 3 can provide the code cheaper ;)

@shuwaz - does teh custom ROM debrand the phone - i.e. no 3 flash screens / software?

It is on 2.2 now but its not as fast/smooth as the 2.1 CFW I put on previously. At the moment it'll cost £15 to unlock. But:

1- There is a member of the xda developers forum apparently doing it for £5 (can provide link if possible)
2- I managed to bug 3 (as I am a contract customer) and they finally agreed to £7. Havent proceeded with as I rarely use the phone. If you're a 3 customer or have a friend who is, you should be able to get it done for the same price.
3- Any decent mobile shop should do this for a tenner. My mate has a shop in Bradford and would do it for free, but it would cost me £20 just to go down there! :D

All I can say is that this phone has been a lot of fun (during the Custom Firmware installation process). These phones are solid both hardware and software wise. 8)

LOL!
Only upwards... (_;)

The deal includes Royal Mail Special Delivery.
I could use 2nd Class Recorded or a cheap courier method (would just take longer to arrive). That would take total cost down to £62/£63.

- I can go with £60 (not unlocked). I wont be using RMSD though, just RM 2CR (2nd Class Recorded).

- It doesnt have a box, just: phone, charger, data cable and a 2GB memory card. The phone is debranded and is running CFW.

- Called 3 earlier. They wont budge on the normal price of £14.99 to unlock. Its gonna take a bit more ear bashing before I can pin them down to £7 again. Its the luck of the draw (i.e. who you get on the phone). So depends how long you wanna wait?

So its either:
1) £60 on 3, posted first thing in the morning.
2) £67 unlocked (but may be a few days before its unlocked for cheap off 3).
3) £75 unlocked now by 3.
#38
id go for the £67 unlocked by three

as mint ones with box are going for similiar price on ebay.....

Option 2 it is then.
Your going to have to hold on for a few days. Not had a chance to do anything today and tomorrow is going to busy. Will keep you posted. 8)
