Hi,

I am selling my Samsung Galaxy S. I have just upgraded my phone so this is no longer needed. It is in mint condition with no marks on it at all.
It has a custom 2.2 rom installed and runs very nicely (not technical at all, helpful little brother).

Any questions please ask.

Do you have ebay account with feedback ?

Im willing to pay the full amount but not prepared to take the risk. You live a little too far from me Crawley Sussex, would you be willing to meet me half way??

PS. Do not lower your price this is a very good price for such a phone, especially if its mint condition

Get all contact details and verify his identity by any and all means necessary - call his landline with a security question - along with the contact number of some other person who knows them...

Like before though - I wouldn't buy this if I were you - I've seen members with 150+ feedback be scammed before... There's no protection on here like there is on fleabay... Also - don't bother paying for protection on paypal as they don't care since it's not on eBay!
#23
Infact - don't buy this - at all - not until the op has been checked by asb for ip address activity etc...

I don't see anything of concern here, other than the fact that there has been a little activity from a previously banned seller on the board just a short while earlier. Technically Ants97 is correct - he would be well advised not to enter the trade in the quoted thread. Some may perceive this as a thread spoil, however we rely on members reporting/commenting on issues that perhaps require a further review.

However as always, we request that members follow the trading rules in full. This protection is equally for the seller as well as the buyer.

We don't offer opinions on sellers, Feedback/History/Verification of Details should all be used by members to help shape form an opinion (also relevant to buyers).

I would 1000000000% not send the full money now... To someone with no feedback for a high value item that's just asking for trouble, and again, sorry Mr123 if you are a genuine seller.

I always look at it this way - if a street seller 'opened' in town asking you to give them £140 for a phone worth more, and then said I'll get it to you in a week, would you deal?

If I were you I'd send the first £70 via paypal (with protection) so you have an amount of coverage - and send the other half (via what once the item is received and checked over (via whatever method you want...)

Anyways - that's my last input into this, and I hope this goes well for both parties :)

Last time I looked up the paypal rules, part payments on items (deposits) were not covered.

Surely you could say it was the full value initially...

Then gift the remainder?

Why would the OP ignore the other 2 offers for cash on collection ? And only replying to the easy quick PP Gift ?

Surely if you want a quick + hassle free sale, cash on collection is best

Since when and where did I make things up ? I said if you want a "quick + hassle free" sale, cash on collection is best, that was a friendly advice rather than an accuse of a quick sale

Also I was interested and can pay via normal Paypal (I will pay fees) but now I am not. And you should read the 2 offers regarding the local pickup above the one offer Paypal Gift

Hi, if you like I'll send half now and half when I've received it?
this seems to be the fairest approach to all, and prove doubters right or wrong.
i would send payment immediately I'm happy.
although still no message of PP details.
#36
Seems like we scared off Mr123....we are naughty...or maybe we are all good detectives...LOL
suspended#37
actually your wrong. I have decided to keep my galaxy S and update it to the new 2.3 upgrade and take out a sim only contract.

Would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who ruined this deal with their snobby comments and terrible attitude.
