Okay, so I fought with Orange to let me have the Omnia. I've had it since November and it has had light use occasionally, but since I barely use my mobile these days, I decided to get rid of it. It's practically new therefore, but still obviously used.
It's a very good phone and is a genuine rival to the iPhone 16GB for someone that is looking for one. It's just totally wasted on me, and I will revert to using my tried and tested K750i for the Bluetooth in my car.
Satnav is pre-installed with iGO 2008 including european maps and a speed/traffic/red light camera database up to date as of Aug 2008 I believe - easy to get updated for free, just not got around to it.
I purchased Bejeweled as well, which is highly addictive. Can leave that on there too, if you so wish.
Core Player is installed, enabling the phone to play almost any video format right out of the box.
The phone has been de-branded, so there is no Orange logo or welcome message etc, as well as a firmware update. This update unlocked a few bits of software that Orange deny you from the word off.
If required, I can leave all my music on there too - circa 4GB non-DRM MP3.
I still have the box and all of the accessories (including the spare genuine battery cover back plate). I have not tested this on any other networks, but apparently there is a £5 unlock tool on deal extreme, as well as a software hack to unlock the Omnia should it be requried.
In light of the firmware update (required registry editing on the phone) and the pre-installed software, my asking price is as per below. I can provide eBay feedback where required (have had steady feedback at 100% over the last 5 years).
At work right now, but will post up some photos when I get home.
edited: I have unlocked this to accept all SIM cards - tested on a Vodafone SIM that was previously rejected.
I will only send this to someone via special delivery at the exact cost (i.e., no markup). This is about £7 I think, else I am happy to let someone collect for cash in the Alderley/Macclesfield or Liverpool area.
Recorded delivery does NOT guarantee the parcel arrives - it simply guarantees that if and when it arrives, that it is signed for. Special Delivery is guaranteed next day regardless.
Else, I would prefer to not use Pay Pal wherever possible, so would agree with bank transfer if that suits. Else, Pay Pal will suffice.
