Excellent condition with the plastic cover still on the front, have cancelled my sky account so am selling this, will come in the offical sky box packaging with the remote, phone line cable, Scart cable and the sky card.

The Card is synced with the box (i.e it can pick up ITV, which I think means the card is synced?)

These seem to go fro £60 on ebay, without the card

I'm very interested.

What channels can you pick up with it without a subscription?
And can you use the recording/timeshift etc. without subscription?

You cant use the timeshift without subscription unfortunatly, swines. Essentially It works like a normal Freeview box, but you can activate the timeshift function but it costs £10 a month to Sky I think..

Seems to pick up all the usual Freesat channels, although not Dave, although I think thats the same with all Sky Boxes?

So the 80GB hard drive is pretty much useless unless I subscribe?

Let me have a quick look round the net and find out if it'd be more use than buying a non-HD Freesat receiver and I'll get back to you

Yep, unfortunatly! They are gits at sky. This really comes into its own if you already have a SKY subscription and fancy upgrading from a normal Sky Box or getting a multiroom subscription

No worried, TBH I think if you dont have a SKY Subscription and arent in the market for a HD Freesat it may be worth getting a normal Sky Box as you can get one for a bit cheaper and like you say the extra Hard Drive isnt that useful without the £10 a month!

Just been having a look round and think I'll leave it as don't think I can justify £10 per month for the recording facilities. May just get a normal Sky Digibox for ~£30 or a Humax Freesat PVR.
Cheers though, and good luck with the sale

No worries, thanks for letting me know, yeah if you dont have a Sky subscription I would say that getting a normal sky box would be the best plan.

The dish is different for a Sky+ box, so the above is not fully correct.

By a different Dish I assume you mean that there is a larger number of LNB's (cables) coming from the dish? Because AFAIK all sky dishes are the same, its just the number of LNB's that is different.
