SOLD Dell Mini Inspiron 11z Laptop/Netbook + Carry Case SOLD £180.00

This is a used, but excellent condition Dell Mini Inspiron 11z.

Here are some rough specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel Celeron 723 (1.2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB Cache)
Intel GS45 + ISH9M chipset
11.6" WXGA LED-backlit display at 1366x768
Intel X4500 Integrated Graphics
Dell 1397 ABG Wireless
2GB DDR2-800 SDRAM (1 Slot)
250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
65W (19.5V x 3.34A) 100-240V AC Adapter
6-cell LI Battery
Built-in webcam
Dimensions (WxDxH): 11.5" x 8.43" x 0.92-1.02"
Weight: 3.05lbs

This is a very small and compact laptop - but it performs MUCH better than any Atom netbook. The processor is much better, the 1.5" increase in the standard 10.1" screens makes a big difference and the RAM is double that of most netbooks - all in all it is a great performer.

It also has a HDMI out port - and plays HD Video (through VLC) without any hitches.

The keyboard is great and unlike notebooks is approximately 92%-94% of a full size keyboard (according to Dell) so it makes typing very easy.

I'm sure most of you HUKD savvy users will Google for the rest of the info ;)

The lid has a few minor surface scratches (due to the very glossy standard Dell lids that scratch very easily) but other than that is in Excellent condition and in full working order.

IT comes with a licensed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (which will be put back to factory) with the COA on the bottom of the machine.

Although the pictures don't show it boxed, it DOES come fully boxed with original manuals/installation discs - the reason for this is I have to pick up the box from my parent's house and so can't photograph it right now.

Unlike the standard Mini 11z, this comes with the 6-cell battery. I get roughly 6hours+ of battery life with general usage.

The laptop has barely been used from new as I mainly use my computer (so only a few charge cycles, and I've only used it for doing work when not at home (not very often).

When not in use it has been kept in the Belkin carry case which is fantastic and has lots of space. The case is black with a red interior.

These seem to sell for £280 on eBay brand new, with a 3 Cell battery!

Receipts can be provided for the laptop, and I have only owned this since August I believe.

Any questions please ask

What games can it play.

I wouldn't know, I'm not much of a gamer..I have an Xbox for that. Plus, the machine isn't really designed for games. It's designed for portability, hence the long battery life etc.

I would recommend this to someone who is in the market for a netbook but would like the extra power that netbooks just don't provide.

I use this for playing movies and it works fine - I've even played 720p videos on it without a hitch, just use VLC Media player. A bonus is that it has a HDMI out port.

would you be willing to post in advance of payment?

Not really.
Although my HUKD feedback is not high, My eBay feedback is, for both buying and selling.

What I've done in the past in other FS/FT websites is just Paypal the payment normally, that way the buyer and seller are both protected in case of a mishap. - Then you can just gift the cost of the fee after receipt.

You are welcome to collect, however.

I can understand why Celeron might put you off - but compared to the Atom processor it is much better.

Regarding your offer of £170, would you be collecting from Lancaster then?

Fair point but still mulling it over (i.e. do I want to commit to a deal yet). :|

Anyway, I thought (whilst looking at your profile) that you were based in West Yorkshire... dont even know where Lancaster is! X)

Oh haha, well if you don't want to collect I can always post.

The only reason I'm selling is to get myself an iPad instead :P

Let me know :)

I have decent eBay feedback + paypal.

Well, £150 was my price without postage - but I'll only charge £5 for insured delivery, so if you agree to £155 please PM me with your eBay username and I'll provide my Paypal address/bank details.

Payment would be required first, then the item will be sent out ASAP.

If still available , I am very interested. Many thanks
#33
I'm awaitting the seller to receive box. Once received I'll send payment :)

Hopefully tomorrow?
#34
The box was delayed in the postal system due to royal wedding/bank holiday etc, and I expect it to arrive tomorrow (actually I expected it to arrive on Thursday of last week, but apparently there is a backlog at my local sorting office).

Upon receipt of the box I shall be continuing the transaction with jogon - so no more offers please unless the sale happens to fall through.

Thanks
