I'm gonna be a dad next month and i've just been made redundant so i need to sell my pretty much brand new Macbook.

Specs=

2.2Ghz Core2Duo
2GB Ram
GMA X3100 Graphics
120GB HDD
OSX Leopard

I'll do a clean install with latest updates.

I'll also include a MiniDVI-DVI adapter so you can plug into any monitor (worked fine with my 24" @ 1920x1080)

I'll also include a Miglia USB Digital TV Stick.

I'm asking £550, fair price i think considering i only got it near the end of March.
Free Delivery or collection.

To show im a legit and honest seller here is my ebay feedback profile.

I Forgot to say Mine has the Double Layer Super Drive Dual Layer DVD+-RW

Apple currently sell for £699 a 2.1Ghz model,1GB Ram with CD Writer so mines faster, more ram and DVD DL Writer

Shipping/Payment:
I'd prefer a Bank transfer to avoid paypal fees.

Though i would accept paypal if you pay the fees?

I'd be interested in the MiniDVI-DVI adapter if you wanted to sell it separate.

Hi do you have a pic of the laptop?
#3
collection from where buddy?

Im in Chippenham in Wiltshire. Just off Junction 17 of the M4.

Mine is also a certified refurbished one. I got is just when the other models came out. It looked untouched so i think it was just returned under the 14 day cooling off period.

Refurbs go through a tougher Quality control check as well.

ok well yes those are for me lol. I dont think i can get away with carrying a baby around on the retro scooter that i have...

serious note tho, me and the mum are apart :( and shes gonna be living a few miles away so i need to drive really so i can annoy her by being able to see the baby rain or shine!

Might be a stupid question but does it come with the operating system dvd so i can install again later on in the future.

#11

The Invoice is actually still attached to the box in the Documents enclosed sleeve!

my laptop got nicked, the insurance is sorting out a new laptop but i'm going to try and get the money off them so i could get a mac. It shouldn't take too long, i'd expect them to give me a call this week, if not i'll give them a call saying "grrr". Anyway, if i get the money rather than a replacement, i'll take it off ur hands.

silly question but how frequent is it that programs aren't available for macs?

i'll also be driving from cardiff 2 oxford before the end of the month, can stop by on the way to pay/pickup

Not a silly question really since you rarely see Mac software being sold or advertised anywhere.
It is quite frequent that you will not find the exact program that you use in Windows available for Mac. However, you will often find an alternative program that is available for Mac that will do the exact same job as the Windows program.
Here is a good site which documents almost every piece of software available for Mac.

I'd call myself a power user, ive used PC's all my life but i had to get a mac to do sound engineering and to be honest i dont find i miss windows or its programs at all!

There are plenty of good if not better alternative programs now and if there is the odd thing ou cant find you can dual boot to windows on your mac or run VM ware fusion/Parallels and run windows simultaneously.

With VMware/Parallels you can either run windows ' in a winow' , full screen while osx is in the background or even in a mode where it doesnt look like windows is loaded at all and the windows app looks like it is being run in osx itself!
pretty cool!

Directx 9 video acceleration is also suported so games work, though dual boot is obv better for that.

The only time i find myself using windows now is to either play games or to flash my mobile phone with the latest firmware.

BBC iplayer works flawlessly on mac now as does ITV etc I cant remember the last time i found any problems.

am seriously interested. would like to know how many usbs ports it has, firewire ports and does it have any warranty left?

also would you consider £500 delivered via bank transfer
#17
It has 2 USB Ports
1x Firewire 400,
802.11N Wifi (300MBPS)
Microphone input
Headphone output AND Optical TOSLINK Digital Audio Output
Webcam+ built in mic
Mini DVI+adapter
Ethernet
Double Layer SUPER Drive DVD Burner

Sorry i think £550 is a very reasonable price, 10 months Warranty Left

Apple Currently Sell for £699 a 2.1Ghz with 1GB ram with only cd-writer. Mines 2.2, 2Gb, DVD Dual Layer
#18
£525 delivered?

Do you have any feedback elsewhere?
#19
Sorry £550 is really the bare minimum, i have several people interested so its basically the first person to pay is the lucky one.

£550 is very reasonable considering im throwing in a mini-dvi AND a Digital TV Tuner as well. AND it has the remote.

The current macbooks DONT come with a remote.

It would sell for more on ebay i dont want to line ebays pockets with fee's on this.

I dont have feedback elsewhere but 306 Positive on ebay, 64 as a seller
#20
Okay mate, I'll check back later.

V. interested just need to do some checking first and at work right now.
#21
