Have one of my old favourites to sell, a manual focus Nikon 100mm f/2.8 lens, from the E Series. You can see what Uncle Ken has to say about it here - http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/100f28E.htm

The review is absolutely spot on, this will produce some of the sharpest photos possible as long as you don't mind losing the AF function.

The back element has the tiniest threads of spider growth, only possible to view under close inspection and in no way compromises image quality. Only mentioning for completeness and if you are not satisfied I'd offer a complete refund minus our postage costs.

As someone with lenses ranging from the £30 mark to over £3000 (Nikon 300mm f/2.8), I can promise you that this is the best bang for the buck you'll get for £40 delivered. But again, remember that this is manual focus only. You won't have a problem focussing through the viewfinder though. In fact, because you have to, this lens hasn't produced an out-of-focus shot that I can remember. And it extremely good for producing deliberately unusual focussing.

as per my other threads, I will also accept Amazon codes or M&S vouchers in lieu of cash.

haha - I have to laugh at myself. With all my expensive camera gear, I always plump for the LG Renoir camera phone for quick pics for here. Saves time and they work well enough (phone being listed in a separate thread soon though!)

The review of the lens here (and see text below my image)

For the lazy, here is the intro of that review by Ken Rockwell, Nikon guru :-)

This is a great little lens. It's sharp, fast, and tiny. You can buy one used for about $100 and its optical and mechanical performance is superior in several ways to the fantastic $1,800 80-200 f/2.8 AF-S.

If you can do without autofocus and the ability to zoom you can get better performance in a smaller, tougher, lighter package, for 5% of the cost of the new AFS.

Don't confuse this with the classic 105mm f/2.5 AI-s Nikkor. The 105 is a much better lens mechanically, and includes a built-in telescoping hood.

This Series E lens is mechanically sturdier than most modern AF Nikkor lenses. It has a solid metal 52mm filter thread. The $1,800 AF-S zoom's filter thread, as well as much of its outer barrel and focus, zoom and aperture rings, are made of plastic, making the AF-S easy to cross-thread and damage when changing filters in a hurry.

hmmm, any room on the price?
I may be interested but need to sell an external hard drive first.
#5
I priced it to sell and am including recorded delivery, so not wanting to budge atm.

If you were interested in the tripod as well, we could crunch the numbers.
#6
If I didnt have 85mm 1.8 I would jump on this.
#7
I have a 35mm 1.8 which is whats holding me back slightly.

and payment received - many thanks. Just realised I left the Hoya filter on in the picture, which I'd planned to keep. But I will throw it in for no extra charge if you want it?

No probs - both being bubble-wrapped and boxed as we speak. Thanks again - hope you produce some stunners with it - it produces them without too much effort. Great brokeh too :)

Also about to list the last of my lenses, in the spirit of clearing the shelves of the lenses I learned my photography with.
