Yep, always worth a try with me. And probably worth trying the same thing in a few days considering how easily my mind changes.

Indecisive? Me? How dare you!

Here is a tiny dent / pen tip size on the Dell logo in the middle of the cover:

Other photos to follow in a minute of a couple of light scratches
#12
and here's a scratch running down from the letter 'I' - again, nothing serious

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5696/cimg0307f.jpg

and a couple more even thinner scratches here - you can hardly make them out but they give you an indication of the wear. Light cosmetic marks that some people would probably not even mention on their listing...

good question - I'll do a run on the battery until it conks out and let you know. It's nearly always been plugged in so have no idea. And yes, I'd be interested in your acer. What are the specs?.

Sorry, dont know if you noticed the edit, but its going back next week as the wireless card is playing up.
However, if it does come back quickly, and you still have this I will get back to you. Here are the specs anyway:
CPU: Intel Atom 1.6GHZ
LCD: 8.9" CrystalBrite WSVGA
RAM: 1GB DDR2
HDD: 120GB
Card reader
Built in webcam
Wireless b/g
Comes with Linux, but I have XP on their atm and runs perfectely.
Holds a charge for upto 2 hours if the screen is turned down and not doing anything too CPU intensive
Also, was only brought at the beginning of Jan, so has a while on the warrenty as well.

Well, my price is there but for a man like yourself I will always listen to reasonable offers :) especially as you might have some partial trades knocking around. Just don't offer me any more golf stuff - those clubs have still not been used after all that bother we had with the courier!!
#23
i've never touched a golf club in my life. Someone else methinks lol
i just need to speak to a 3rd party as its not for me. just give me an hour or so and ill be back

I really dont know much about laptops or computers etc, but is this a great improvement from a Dell Inspiron 1300? This was a deal about 3 years ago, it has Windows XP on it and cost about £299, it had no extra upgrade of memory and belongs to my nephew, although we have it here at the moment.

My son wants one (and his birthday money is burning a hole in his pocket) but the GB and HDD or whatever dont mean anything to me. The only thing I understand is the screen size lol! He was thinking about the one from my nephew but I am wondering if this would be better?

Sorry, have never seen the Inspiron 1300 so can't comment. Perhaps google or someone else here will have some info/opinion... I guess a lot depends on the spec rather than the model itself though..... I would guess that this is a updated version of the 1300.

Thats fair enough, but gold is like money in the bank
Obviously i'll be giving you at a trade price that equates to less than the cash price I would ask for.
The pictured coin for example is £75 worth, but i'll call it as worth 50 in trade which gives u 25 to play with when selling on :)

Ok, well that makes it sound a bit more attractive I suppose. Is gold at an all-time high atm, or am I way off base? And what other coin/s do you have / would you consider? :)
#35
Wouldn't be a Liddle thread without a Bazzaric somewhere...

So here's the deal. I ordered a Dell Mini 9 for someone who was a bit short at the time. He has since told me he no longer wants it, and it's due for delivery next week. You can have it at the price I paid, with no additional delivery charge as I'm sending you stuff anyways. If not, I will refuse delivery and get my money back from Dell

Yes, gold is high atm as its a solid value commodity.

Those are the other two. I have two of the earlier posted one at £50 each, and these two each with a value of £85 usually, but yours at £60 trade value
I just can't be bothered to go to Romford for the nearest coin dealer, its hassle. The prices i'm offering at give you a guaranteed return of what you are asking for the laptop and a bit more for the inconvenience to you. I need a newer laptop and the coins are just gathering dust lol

Very good price, If only you came along 2 weeks in the future and I would have gave you £200 :-(

Hold off on it? :-D

Ok, yes I thought gold was high. Which might mean the only way is down! lol

And if I wanted to encash these coins at some point, it would be with a specialist coin dealer, yes? Where are the figures you quoting actually coming from? And what is your preferred option, part cash or all in coins, and if so what exactly? Thanks - this is interesting at least :-D

The prices are taken from an average of ebay prices, where possible, vs weight. That is also why i'm taking 25 off of each coin to give you some kind of buffer between my estimate and any potential dealer rate. If you luck out selling them on, you could make decent money on top. Otherwise, you deffo clear your asking price for the laptop. It's a no lose deal.
Trade magazines or dealers are the place to go for sure. Or you could chance your arm on ebay  It'll be fun though, won't it? lol

Taking your price of 209, you can take your pick of coins at the values stated, and cash up to 100.
So 2x coins @ £60 a piece, plus £89 cash as an example. Is £209 the price delivered?
