It's the one I bought on this thread. http://hotukdeals.com/item/369069/fs-vt6241a-sata-cables-pci/showthread.php?t=369069&page=2

As I suspected might happen, I didn't get the rest of the equipment needed at the price I was willing to pay.

So it's up for sale again at the price I paid for it (£7), with postage added.

It has never been tested or used since receiving it, but if you want me to open my PC and plug it in to make sure it is recognised I'll do so.
Shipping/Payment:
PP gift please. £8.50 to include 2nd class delivery with proof of postage collected. Add extra for recorded. If the postage is less than £1.50 I'll refund the difference.

I was missing the rest of the equipment - the Xecuter CK3 Pro and Probe. Nearly got it here until the seller pulled out. Also advertised on AV without luck. It then dragged on so long, I gave up on the desire to give this little 'project' a go myself. Was going to try it for the challenge more than anything else - but have enough other challenges to keep me occupied :p

Mike, did you just want the card without the cable then? Would make a difference to me as the cable makes up about 70% of the weight!

Whats the cable for?
If it's just a normal SATA cable, then no, I don';t need it, I have a 90cm (yeah, stupidly long) one already, so that I can come out the bacl of the PC and right round the front, makes it easier to update my stuff.
Have got an old Samsung drive on top of my PC (taken from a dead 360) that I am using to rip my own games with (thanks to 1.6) that way I don't scratch or mess up any of my discs :)
But at the moment I have to take the top off the PC and swap out my DVD burner with the external DVD drive everytime I want to do it, so this would help no end mate
Oh, and you only need to get the CK3 Lite anyway, you can make a probe from a small bit of cable and a needle or something :p

Would a normal sata chipset work for 360 drives or is the pci card essential?

Simple answer Mike - Dunno. But I guess for the same thing as yours is used for. Yep, I'm happy to provisionally accept your offer of £6 without the cable. I need to check the card is recognised on the desktop first. Will do this evening and get back to you

Cool, thanks mate

Mike, got a chance to check it earlier than I thought. Took me a while to find it but found it under 'storage controllers' - no notice saying new hardware detected or drivers being installed - it was just there.

PM'ing you PP address for gift.

p.s. sorry bailey2k4 that I can't answer your question.
