I actually bought it for the psp to put games on it, but later found out that it wont support it for some reason. Do i just put it in the psp and see what happens?

You need to update the PSP if it is on an old firmware for it to recognise a memory stick over 4GB.
I doubt this is genuine though.

Go to the XMB, scroll down to the memory stick(If it can be seen), press triangle, and it should say "Supported", if it says anything else e.g "Unknown", the man at the car boot sold you a pup.
#15
Whats XMB? ive just put it on charge just now so will confirm in a bit.. im kinda scared!
#16
The cross media bar of your PS3.......I think Saint has presumed something incorrectly here......may be wrong though
#17

#18
If genuine, I will give you £25

Cross media bar of a PS3 will check a genuine Memory stick? I think not.
Presumed what? If a bloke at a car boot is selling genuine 16GB pro Duo's...

See i went to a shop here and they said it wouldnt support it and it would only use 4gig or less hence why i just left it. Im not entirely sure of the process to get games etc on it though.

it wont work now cos its fake right??

it will work but may be hit and miss, i had a couple of fake cards off ebay - listed as real ones which i further got refunded.

basically your just risk or the psp not reading the card at some points, problems i had were game freezes runnings iso's off there, and mainly when connected to usb it not recognising the memory card, i had to keep ejecting then reinserting it to let it find it.

playing games i mean 80% of the time it works, sending and recieiving data from a pc was more like 60% but this was after a few months of usage.

if you plan on getting another one at any point i just use a 8gb

they have sandisk or lexor for £19.99 inc delivery.

Sorry mate that's a fake can tell by the packaging a proper stick is sealed all the way round with those stiches on yours there's only 3 one at the top and one at the side and one at the bottom do a search on google itl show you I had one the same stopped working after a month cost me a tenner for 16 gig learnt my lesson and bought one off play for 50 never missed a beat since hope it helps anyway and I'd report the GENUINE trader on the Market if I were you
#28
Also sometimes it won't fill more than half way as it's a 4 gig card altered with software to show 8 gig of space can't beloved someone ripped u off tho 40 quid is a. Heck of a lot for an 8 gig if u really need one go on play get a 16 gig for 50 like I did hope u sort it mate as above I'd contact trading standards or summat if I was u
