Could offer £12 as you could easily get a DL DVD burner that supports much higher speeds and +r and -r dl disks for the same price.

OEM hardware is typically no different than retail hardware, with the exception of bulk pricing not available to the normal consumer, including all cables, software and manuals.

Can you show me a Sony, silver bezel, small form factor DVD-RW drive (ideal for media centres) with better specs at the same price delivered?

I know what it means but I meant have you experienced any rubbish quality?

If you're referring to this particular item in terms of poor burns/operation, then the answer is no, because I haven't used it, it's still as I bought it (for over £30)

My past experiences of OEM components and consumables has been extremely positive, so much so that in 95%+ of occassions where i'm looking for parts i'll go for OEM's.
