I'm needing to upgrade my camcorder to something in the semi professional market, so I'm selling my current one to make extra funds available.

All items are less than 4 months old and only been used a handfull of times therefore all are in as new condition and perfect working order.

I have:

1 x Sony HDR-TG3 Camcorder (boxed complete with instuctions, cables, stand and software)
1 x Sony Leather Case
1 x 16GB Sony MS Pro Duo Memory Stick
1 x 4GB Sony Ms Pro Duo Memory Stick
3 x Sony NP-FH50 Infolithium H Series Camcorder Batterys

Sorry to see it go, you only have to read the reviews to see this is a belting HD camcorder I only wish it had a extra couple of functions I now require.

Amazon prices the whole package at over £620 - willing to accept £475

Recorded delivery is included in the price or pick up available in the Greater Manchester area, trusted site member, more details available on request and images will be online within the next couple of hours.

Do you still have the receipt? If so, how much of the warranty is left on it?

As a final question, what's the battery life like? I appreciate there are a few batteries that come with it, but I'm curious as to how long they last.

I'm pretty sure I have the recipt somewhere but I have no idea how much warrenty is left as I dont know how much I got with it I can check when I get home though.

re battery life, from a full charge you can get around 90 minutes shooting as indicated in the display from my experience is pretty accurate, the only reason I had to go to the lengths of buying 3 is becuase I used it to film American Football games for training purposes and could only change the battery at the end of the quaters which can go on for upto 50 mins each.

After reading reviews I am interested in this, but we're going have to talk about the price. A quick browse on the internet reveals that I can get the camera for £390, and the batteries for £22.43 (assuming there are two spares, as one would come with it). The 16GB memory stick (4GB comes with it) would be around £40 at a guess (possibly a little more), and I have no idea which case it is. But on the basis of all that a brand new package excluding the case comes out at £474.86, which is just short of what you're asking second hand.

So what's the best price here? To be honest my main concern is the lack of warranty. This is a lot of money and I'd be very hesitant at purchasing something like this, even meeting in person (which I would), without that protection of a warranty. It would actually be a gift, and ordinarily new this would be way outside my price range.

Also, could you get some pictures up?

While I've gone off Amazon as they're a much more reliable source I'll agree the camera alone can be sourced cheaper.

However if you click on that pixmania link you just posted scroll down to the pack options at the bottom, the top package on their: camera, case, 16GB card and 1 battery comes to £584. I'm offering an additional battery on top of that which although I paid £36 for, if I went with your quote of £22 it still brings it in at just under £16 less than what I stated which if you were to buy these items would be used up by the postage costs, so i'm afraid the price is non negitiable.

Just to clarify there are 2 batteries on top of the one supplied with the camera (3 in total).

I will deffinatly have more info regarding warranty and recipt when I dig out the box later, I did plan to do this yesterday however I spent last night in A&E after dropping a hammer on my head lol (dont ask)

If that's the same case it can be had for just over £30 apparently.

So shopping around a bit it would seem that the package you are offering can be had new for something in the region of £505, which means effectively you are offering a 6% saving on something that is second hand and (up to now) without a receipt or warranty.

If there's no movement on price then I'm out I'm afraid. Best of luck with the sale, though :)

Also hope the injury wasn't too serious; not even going to ask how it happened! :-D
