Selling a Stella Artois 'Husky' fridge / cooler. Ideal for keeping those beers chilled in the summer!

However.. it is sold as non-working/for spares and repairs due to an unknown fault that will not permit it to function in it's current state. As I have no technical knowledge, skill or expertise that would be required to attempt to fix it, I couldn't give a full diagnosis of what work needs doing and/or how 'fixable' it is; and therefore can only describe the problem as I see it.

Currently, when switched on it does not cool or regulate the temperature in any way, shape or form. The only way I can see that the motor is 'on', is by turning the temperature dial on the rear to just past '0' and it starts to 'hummm' as if it's coming in to life. However, as soon as I release the hold on the dial, it stops humming and does not appear to remain 'on' in any way after this point. This, as I said, may or may not be an easy fix (if at all), so it is sold as seen and recommended only to those that have the know-how to successfully fix it.
Shipping/Payment:
Payment to be made as cash on collection. However, if the buyer wants to pay for a courier (at cost), then PayPal GIFT or Bank Transfer is an option, if required.

no offense, but £35 for a broken fridge is very steep!
you can get these for £50 new,
and what you've described sounds like a compressor problem, which wouldn't be economical to fix.

I am open to offers.. and yes, you can, from time to time, get A type of Husky fridge for £50 'new', on indeed, on offer of some type, but at present, most of them seem to be £80 - £100+ new regardless of livery or specification.

As for the problem, like I said, I'm no expert so could only describe to the best of my ability. If it is that it's really that burnt out that it wouldn't be worthwhile financially to anyone or myself to fix it, then so be it; but without a proper problem diagnosis, I didn't want to make that judgement.

Do you care to embellish on the details to which you think the compressor problem might be? Otherwise, thanks for your interest...
