Stunning 0.45ct Diamond Solitaire 18ct Gold Engagement Ring £400.00

I have for sale a stunning 0.45ct diamond solitaire engagement ring in 18ct gold, fully Hallmarked.

I am listing this at well under what I am sure this is now worth - it was bought for approx £900 about 5 years ago.

The ring is a size N - which is one of the most common ring finger sizes and is therefore ideal for resizing either way without considerable expense.

The band is made out of 18ct yellow gold and is reasonably sturdy, 2mm thick and not worn away at all.

The fact that the gold quality is 18ct sets the tone of quality of the piece as a whole and the diamond it is housing as it is well known that the higher the metal quality, the higher the quality of stone set into it..

The diamond is a very substantial in weight and measures 5mm across it's diameter. The diamond is eye clean and very bright and sparkly. The top table, in particular, is very clear.

This ring was originally purchased from an independent jewelers (David Summerfield, Gateshead) and NOT from one of the more common High Street jewelers such as Ernest Jones and H Samuels which are renowned for charging an extortionate price for low quality stones. Unfortunately the original receipt is long gone.

There are absolutely no sad stories behind the origins of this ring, it's purely just the case that it's sitting in my fiancées jewelery box and not getting any use, it's an absolute shame when someone could be enjoying it and getting many many years of use and symbolism from it.

The price includes Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure it is adequately insured. Alternatively you are most welcome to collect from Newcastle upon Tyne and inspect in person.

Please Note: The ring will be provided in its original David Summerfield ring box, not the heart shaped box in the photographs.
Shipping/Payment:
PPG, BT or cash on collection.
Royal Mail Special Delivery included, will deduct £5 if collected in person.
Location:
Newcastle Upon Tyne

Yeah, that's fine mate.
#7
it looks a nice example and something my other half would like

having spoken to a few people who no more about jewellery prices than myself i would to make an opening offer of £290 and see how that stands with you
#8
To be honest mate, was looking to clear £350 minimum, so if you could go to that amount, it's yours, obv RMSD is included in that price too.

I think you'd be hard pushed to find a stone of this size on the High Street for any where near that price..
#9
yep i appreicate that mate

can you give me 24 hours to think it over?

thanks
#10
Yeah sure, no worries. I understand it's a considered purchase. I'll give you first refusal for the next 24 hours @ £350.

Just let me know either way, even if it's a no.

Cheers.

Hi - if you mean in terms of clarity and colour then no - I've not had it appraised. I wouldn't want to hazard a guess myself as it would be just that - a guess.
