For tonight only it's Admin's clear out the corner sale. It's all going cheap and it's all junk!

First up a Compaq 7400. This is a PII 366 or maybe 300 - I can't actually be bothered to boot up and find out the exact specs and to be honest it doesn't really matter does it? Runs Win98 fine what else is there to say. This cost £3500 in 1999, now yours for the grand price of £25 shipped to your door. If you want a Targus laptop rucksack for it I'll toss that on for an extra tenner.

Next up - progo stick? Have you wanted to jump up to 6' in the air? Clear cars in a single bound? Well although the box says it will enable this I only succeeded in bashing my knee. It's an air pressure powered pogo stick for pros not amateurs hence the "pro"go name.

'...the Pro:Go is the Daddy of pogo sticks, demolishing childhood dreams of the puny efforts that could leap mere inches off the ground... will jump as high as 6 feet... easy to use and designed with an eye on military technology, the Pro:Go is just the thing for the man who likes a challenge' said FHM Magazine

Oh yes military technology and aircraft grade aluminum. Your dreams too can come true/be dashed for only £20 delivered to your door.

Last but not least... Mr. Soccer robotic football. Two remote controlled robots - one ball - a crudely designed pitch = hours of fun.

http://www.firebox.com/?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=1141 Firebox will sell it to you for £30 - but you can get it tonight only, right here, for £10 shipped.

That's all. Payment method required is PayPal and needs to be in my account tonight or tomorrow morning. Everything will be shipped out Royal Mail tomorrow morning to be in your sweaty hands next week. Any questions shoot...

It had to be done :giggle:
[admin]#9
How about £30 including the Targus rucksack - I kind of want to get rid of it too hehe and it will make a good padding for shipping.

#11
Hang on. I offered the full price for the laptop??
[admin]#12
Shoot Scribbles! Cross-posted that sorry. As seancampbell has gone for the package I guess he gets the offer.
[admin]#13
I will consult the mods - I'm messing up my first sale :( I shouldn't have watched the thread so close!
#14
How about we save confusion and I pay full price of £35 to stop any argueing?
#15
I wanted it for my disabled wife, as she is attending computer classes. The annoying thing for me is that I offered the full asking price and STILL didn't get it. Forget I asked.
[admin]#16
Ok sorry I mucked this up guys. What happened is I responded to seancampbell's post before Scribbles posted and I actually didn't think it would have that much interest so I thought I'd get seancampbell to get the bag too.

So what I'm stuck is between my reply to seancampbell which he took and the full price acceptance which Scribbles posted while I was posting.

I asked the mods for advice and I think the fairest thing is that as Scribbles has the chronological offer for the asking price that Scribbles has it at £25 (the asking price). If you would like the bag also let me know Scribbles.

Sorry seancampbell but I think that's fair. I apologise for the confusion but I hope you can see what happened. I should have waited a bit longer before responding I guess.
[admin]#17
It was actually not quite that emasu. If the Scribbles didn't offer the asking price of £25 chronologically before I counter-offered to seancampbell then it would be a non-issue. i.e. if Scribbles offer was chronologically after seancampbell's acceptance of the counteroffer.
#18
ALICOM007
but he didnt accept a higher offer did he?

It is higher - when you take into account the bag being added. By the rules it would appear that my initial interest, followed by acceptance of Paul's £30 counter offer would be valid.
Legally it would be as well - Post = invitation to treat. £20 = offer
£30 = counter offer destroying initial offer.
"Deal" = acceptance.
Consideration to be executory = valid legally binding contract.
[admin]#19
I agree seancampbell - what was working against that was in between me posting that counteroffer the asking price was offered by another member. I'm quite sure the rule is that if the asking price is offered then it has to be sold for that.

If Scribbles offer was after my counter offer and your acceptance then that definitely would have been yours.
[admin]#20
Just to be clear my acceptance of Scribbles offer is as it stands. £25 for the laptop as I asked in the first post. Bag is not part of it as it was not required in the post.
[admin]#21
Ok still for sale - one Targus laptop rucksack - robot football and a progo stick!

Send offers by pm's only. If your offer is for asking price and chronologically before another it is the accepted one. Hopefully that prevents confusion in the future.
#22
I feel like a bit of a pratt now LOL
I really shouldn't let my temper get the better of me like that, but I did and I apologise Sean. I didn't see a problem with gazumping you with a full price offer. Alls fair heh? I will buy the laptop if it is indeed OK with all concerned.
[admin]#23
loupomm - " i just think it should of been first offer accepted stands, its not an auction" that's what I made my decision on . I made an offer for £25 the first post in this thread accepting that is Scribbles.

Anyway - yeah I agree Browni. Can a mod please move the off topic posts :)
[admin]#24
Last chance for the football robots and Progo stick!
#25
So is the Pro-Go Stick still for sale?!
banned#26
£5 for the footy?

Dealing by pm is abannable offence you know? I think a mod should ban this fly by nighter until he reads the forum rules! :whistling:
