Trade Xbox 1, hardly used, for Xbox 360 games?

£0.00 @
I'll listen to all offers. I'm not going to bother with pics of the Xbox as it's boxed, immaculate, with all leads and controler. Promise. My feedback on here speaks aloud.

all i can say is why???? i had a xbox and gave it away, the xbox 360 is ttly backward compatible so why would anyone want to swap a game for a console that the console they have can play the games??? or am i missing something???
#4
The Xbox 360 does not play Xbox games natively, it requires software emulation.
Xbox still has a resell value
#5
that is ttly wrong, the 360 can play any xbox game i should know i have owned 2 360's and played my old xbox games on them.i still have my halo that i play on it

OFFICAL MICROSOFT Q AND A's
Q: What is Xbox backward compatibility?

A: Xbox® backward compatibility enables original Xbox® games on the compatibility list to be played on your Xbox 360™ console. Backward compatibility requires the Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

Q: What does it cost and how do I get it?

A: There is no additional cost. Like all Xbox 360 system software, backwards compatibility is updated from time to time. These updates are released through Xbox LIVE® and can also be obtained in other ways described here. You must install the latest update to be able to play every game on the compatibility list, and to play original Xbox games on Xbox LIVE.

Hmmm, not sure about any game. There is a list on the MS site. Given there is a list kinda gives you the impression not all games will play.
As Scribbles said, it requires software emulation which no doubt is why you need the xbox HD to store said emulation on

Looking at the list for example briefly, no Madden games appear. 06 therefore does not play

maybe i am half right then, maybe it will only play the big hits.i just had the urge to play ps2 games on my ps3 but when i bought the 40gig that was no longer an option and thot why the hell would i ever want to play a ps2 game if i have a ps3.same said for the 360,why would you want to purchase the old xbox if you have this piece of kit.maybe i'm being dence.

WRONG

You cant play all xbox games on a 360.
Look it up.

have you seen the list it's pretty massive and the software emulation you are on about is dloaded with updates so i see no reason for the xbox unless heaven forbid there is a game or games on the list you must play

I don't know why you have chosen to wreak my thread, but if you are not interested in trading can we just leave it please vinylkiller?
There is a call for the Xbox, some people have kids that cannot be trusted with a 360 for example. I can think of a thousand reasons to have an Xbox and a 360.
#12
and an original xbox can make a cheap media centre
#13
Sorry Scribbles if i have spoilt it too, i wasn't meaning to.
Contact a mod, get them to tidy it up.....sorry

Oddworld Strangers Wrath, Beyond Good and Evil, Chronicles of Riddick, Morrowind, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Project Zero say "Hi!". All great games, none of them on the BC list. Some of the BC games don't work properly; actual hardware > emulation.

You can pick up the majority of those pretty cheaply too, so it's a worthwhile investment.

I'll accept a trade for the following items ...

2x powerline network homeplugs
Xbox 360 wireless networking adaptor
Games totaling trade 'value' of £40

I'll listen to other offers also
#16
im sorry you will have to accept less than that as gamestation are doing a instore price of 29.99 and that includes any two pre owned games priced 14.99 or less. so in theory they are selling the xbox for 1p( if you get 2 games for 14.99)

So, the price of an Xbox is £30 then. It's the games that are free, not the Xbox
My Xbox is immaculate, can that be said for GS's stock?

Which video cables do you have for it? can the Xbox 1 output 720p?

Have you ever tried installing Xbox Media centre on it? I am interested purely to run it as a quiet media box, they are silent right?

No they are far from silent without a mod.

When is this box manufactured? Post 06 are version 1.4's I think which are much harder to turn into media centres, my 1.1 (which is useful as a media centre/PC) was an easy soft mod still works too!

I dont think they can churn out 720p Pretty sure they can't in fact.

You're a total hypocrite, as you wrecked the cheap HD-DVD 360 player thread. You kept ranting on about how people shouldn;t buy it because HD-DVD is an obsolete format. LMAO. Idiot boy. Surely the Xbox is obsolete hardware, as no more games are being made :)

Grab a napkin, 'cause You Just Got Served.

Your Xbox is currently owned by an idiot. Can that be said for GS's stock?
