Unopened new bed with mattress sell or trade for half price

I was one of these lucky people who bought a bed from debenhams online for the misprice of £2. (see this thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95094 ).
This bed is a king size with mattress, still in the box and retails for £279 i believe.

Its sitting in my living room waiting to go for a good home, but any buyers would have to pick it up themselves. I'm in Durham City. It would easily fit in large car (such as a mondeo for example) if you folded the mattress, but if you didn't want to do that you would need a van.

I feel a little bad making a profit on it as i bought it for £2 but the money would come in very useful right now and im offering it for a fair price of £140, thats half its retail value. I'll also be interested in a trade if anyone has a good suggestion, perhaps a 2nd hand xbox 360.

Cheers

ill give u £2.50 and im not far from durham?

Really? i'll take it down if anyone is offended by it.

I think i'm being honest and not trying to say i paid £279 for it. I'm giving the facts and if no one wants to buy it then I fully understand. I enjoy this site a lot though and feel i was very lucky to check just as this misprice was been put online. But if people feel its not suitable I will gladly pull my advert

£140 is still a good price, too far for me to pick up though and i am not that keen on metal beds, even so i wish i had seen the deal before it had expired, would of bought one for a friend of mine.
Good luck with the sale. :)

I agree £140 isn't bad - and at least he's being honest as well (I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't even have mentioned they only paid £5.50)

personally think its a bit out of order and not really in the spirit of the board. but thats just my opinion, maybe it would be different if i was the one with a un-needed bed in my living room!! :)

Dont take any notice mate you have to be in it to win it if somebody wants a cheap bed then this is a good deal. Please do not be bullied into closing this thread because somebody will be happy to buy it.

Seems to me people are here either to save money or make money. There isn't anything wrong with trying to make yourself some money while at the same time saving someone over over £100.
I don't know anywhere else where you can buy a brand new kingsize bed and mattress for a mere £140.

I think that fair enough, You were one of the lucky ones that got a misprice, Its not like you'd bought up 20 at £100 quid through here and when the deal ran out put them on here to sell.

140 is a bargain, If I was you though, I'd stick it in your local ad's for £200.

That was plan b! i thought i'd give people on here the chance to get it for a good price because without this site i would have never found it in the first place. If theres no interest though i'll put it in the local papers
