Hi everyone!

I have a 1 year old dehumidifier for sale. Used during winter of last year and I no longer need it now as I moved out of my basement flat and my new place is no longer very damp.

Was £110 new when I bought it.

Comes boxed and with all the fittings.

Feel free to ask any questions! I will upload an image ASAP but for the meantime, I have included an official image.

Below is a description from the website:

Manufacturer's Description
A dehumidifier removes the excess moisture created on a daily basis through activities such as running baths, drying laundry and using washing machines, all of which can lead to condensation, damp and mould. With the help of a dehumidifier, you can maintain a more constant level of humidity and alleviate these conditions; the higher the extraction rate, the more condensation you can control.

The DEM10 from De'Longhi is a highly efficient compact dehumidifier that can extract 10 litres (or 18 pints) of water from your environment every 24 hours. The more efficient the unit, the lower the running cost, and to optimise its efficiency the DEM10 features a humidistat, allowing you to set moisture to a comfortable level and save energy at the same time.

The DEM10 uses ecological gas R134a and collects demineralised water that is ideal for re-use in, for example, steam irons. Standing at only 42 cm high, the DEM10 compact portable dehumidifier is also ideal for rooms and houses where space is at a premium. It is quiet in operation and has a built-in carry handle to ensure it can be moved around the home with ease.

Not only great for removing moisture from the air, the DEM10 is also ideal for drying clothes. The top-mounted control panel is easy to use and has a cover for added safety, while other features include an anti-frost setting for low temperatures, a two litre tank, a tank control system, a washable dust filter and a permanent drain facility that can be installed with the supplied plumbing kit.

How effective is this one? We're thinking of replacing tumble drier with hanging racks + dehumidifier in our new laundry room (ah, isn't it lovely to have space :)).

Have you got the original receipt and does it have any warranty remaining? and would you be willing to act as go-between in the event of a warranty claim?

@Liddle lo' me

Depending on how damp the room is, I have managed to fill the 2l reservoir in about 3 hrs. I dare say it is very effective. I remember drying a load of washing in about 2-3 hours during winter last year.

I need to check if I still have the receipt. However, I don't think there's any warranty left on it.

The dehumidifier has a lot of good reviews on Amazon UK so I dont think it should fail you anytime soon.

ok, thanks for that. need to consult with the better half as she's in charge of that area of the house (I clean the toilets and bathrooms :().

Is there anything you will take by way of trades, as this isn't something we'll be needing for a couple of months due to the basement area still being completed, and I'd rather limit cash outgoings in the meantime. Also, it would need to be a courier collection as we're too far apart. Courier costs £7

Unfortunately, I wouldn't want to trade for anything. Sorry about that. If your better half agrees to it, let me know which courier company you want and I shall arrange it.

Cheers

fair enough. Are you willing to post in advance since you have no feedback here? Pls see my feedback for assurances, and obviously a courier delivery confirms delivery.

Well yes. I can see why you are hesitant as I am a newbie here. Let me know when a decision is made and I will send it off to you.

good timing, was just about to return. £50 + postage would be our offer, since we won't need it for a while. Any good? Np's if not.
#18

#19
Sorry mate. am selling it off to a friend. Thanks for your interest!

Nps, I thought I'd left a reply saying no to your revised offer anyway. As it seems I didn't, apols for appearing rude and glad you got it shifted.
