Im looking for a working 2.5" laptop hard drive.

Anything 20gb+ considered, as long as it works perfectly and is cheap!

Let me know what you have, and a price inc delivery.

Can pay using paypal.

I should mention this is for an old laptop, so any drives offered need to be IDE

Can anyone tell me - this HDD is for an advent laptop which came with recovery disk. Will the recovery disk install on any HDD, or will it recognise the hardware change and refuse to install?

The original drive was a 40gb Seagate.

I think theres usually a partition created for the recovery so i don't think it will work on a new hdd

If you have actual disks ie cds then it will work with a new hd just need to make sure the bios is set to boot from cd and have them in when you first turn the machine on with the new hd in.

If it is a recovery partition (no disks as mackenzie is referring) then there MAY be an option to create recovery media with blank cds and that would then allow you to just put in the new hard drive and boot from cd

Considering the offer of an 80gb brand new drive for £25, are you able to better your offer?
#14
I have a 40 gig one taken from my PS3, I think it should work in laptops, my knowledge isn't strong here. Maybe someone or yourself can confirm? £15 inc 1st class. (BT, PP please add fees/gift)
