Needs to be 2 x 1GB modules and not 1GB stick... (due to motherboard compatibility)

Cleared some...

Don't suppose anybody would be willing to buy an £18 play.com voucher for me and then I send the person with the £18 voucher £18 paypal, reason is because I don't have £18 on my Natwest SOLO card .. infact I have -£0.09 lol.. wheras I have enough money in my paypal....

I have some 2GB sticks of PNY PC6400 DDR2, opened but essentially brand new. £17 delivered each.

Are they 2gb sticks or 2x 1gb sticks?

I'm guessing they are from play.com...

Is there any leeway in price?

2GB sticks, lowest I can do is £16 each or £31 for two.

Will they work okay in my Emachines E4264?

It currently has an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 in it and Samsung PC2- 5300 RAM in it.

They work fine in an Asus and Gigabyte board I have. Your board needs to support 2GB DIMMs (not all boards run stable with them). The speed is not an issue as it will just run at the same speed as the current RAM.

Impossible to know for sure unless you can find some online reports from people or documentation for the PC?

Should work okay with my PC (hopefully).. Its got an ECS mobo in it....

I'll just risk it - there's currently 2 sticks of 512mb ram in there.... (which is why i am after a 2gb module as there is only 1 slot...

Would it be sent 1st class post? Could you possibly send it today..?

Thanks
TIm

Don't suppose you have any spare ram holders? (To keep my old ram safe)
#11
Ah, so you have 2 slots on the board both occupied by 512MB sticks? Or 3 slots on board with one slot free?

Can you find you PC here? (I can't see it) (memory advisor tool). It shows you what is compatible

Can post today 1st class as they are in my bag

It's in the original packaging so you can use that to store your old RAM, probably only one stick though

Most of the E-Series on that site states max 1GB per slot... do you have the model number of the ECS mobo?
#13
Edit;;;;; oh...

I'll look at the ecs site for the motherboard stuff..

Ok, sure :)

edit: no problem

according to the online manual it can indeed only take 1gb per slot....

I'm looking for 2x 1gb DDR2 PC2-5300 modules then...

Ok.

I have some Kingston 1GB sticks too, PC5300 I think. But I won't be able to post until tomorrow as they are at home. Boxed and in "as new" condition as before. Same price for 2GB worth.

I think I'll leave them for now but if I have no other offers then I'll consider yours..

Thanks,
Tim
